I had one done a week ago and started bleeding after no pain meds they gave me took the pain away. I have a high pain tolerance,I had a total hip replacement at 13 years old and it didn't hurt this much. It also caused me to have Appendicitis. I'm not trying to scare anyone but this can happen I had no idea it could happen and I regret getting it done.

I'm going in for a Liver Biopsy tomorrow morning (5/24/2019). I was just looking for what level of pain I could expect.

Jerry Turner; I had liver biopsy yesterday. Have to say I was really nervous about this. Had a lung biopsy for cancer, in 2 different areas of my right lung, and cancer metastazed to to liver. Have to say, with being sedated, and the use of lidocane, there was no discomfort. But last night, pain was really bad, and remember I was told to go to emergency room if pain was bad. But then I thought, what the hell would they do there? So I stuck it out, and pain is practically gone now. Hope your procedure went well. I've decided, no more biopsy's. Ron Ft. Myers

All I can tell you is the lidocaine has worn off. I’m lying here at home. Every breath hurts. My blood pressure is through the roof. Apparently asking for pain killers is akin to insulting someones mother. I haven’t experienced something like this in a long while. I guess i will keep taking a butt load of acetaminophen. That’s good for your liver, right?

Is it safe to go for a liver biopsy procedure if the patient has been diagnosed with am advanced stage cancer (HCC)

Are biopsies on multiple liver masses on 4 different segments the same process as the typical liver biopsy?.. I’m waiting for my scheduled date for my biopsy, due the high suspension of malignancy.. I’m a nurse, but I’m absolutely terrified.. Am I able to insist on being put under general anesthetic?..

The biopsy presents more problems for what they're able to diagnose, especiall if you already have cancer of the liver why even bother?

High fructose corn syrup is the cause. Physicians need to step up and grow a set and discuss that soda causes this

Yeah that's not actually true. It might be in some cases, but my good friend eats very healthy, drinks zero soda and has liver issues because of genetics. Same thing her mom and sister have. Please leave the medical expertise to the actual experts who have spent decades studying the topic.
