WandaVision, Loki, Shang-Chi, No Way Home, Ms. Marvel, Werewolf by Night, Wakanda Forever, Guardians Vol. 3, and Deadpool & Wolverine were undeniable. Also, I'm tired of this revisionist history that the Infinity Saga was this perfect set when a good 80% of Phase 1 and 2 were considered "meh". Iron Man, The Avengers, Winter Soldier and Guardians 1 were the only ones that were objectively undeniable.

@@kieroncampion120 The formula is the MCU way of releasing multiple standalone superhero films in a year or two that all link up to a major event film, like in around 2010-2012 with the first avengers film, with each film that got released the hype for the team up movie only grew. Add to this their ability to make these characters less completely nerd-ed tf out with comic weirdness, but not to the point of going fully bland "gritty" style, that way they make it attractive and children and adults, and for casuals as much as comic fans. They lost the formula because, the movies lowered in quality, they don't have any "major event film" or major team film to lead the movies too, the different movies don't connect, every movie is too high stake, and, frankly, it got too nerdy. I don't know a single casual who cares for what if. They don't introduce less marketable characters well anymore either, like for example, black widow and hawkeye couldn't sell a solo movie like captain america or iron man, so they were supporting cast to iron man and thor films. Same with the Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Now they just throw everything at a wall, when I guarantee that the eternals, shang chi, wakanda forever etc. movies would benefit from having these types of characters that ease them into the universe, like iron man for spider man homecoming. Because nobody gives af for the eternals. I could say more, but your open ended question is pretty easy to answer.

It’s truly sad what has happened with the mcu and marvel as a whole. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still a fan (somewhat), but there was a time when I was excited for EVERY movie release. A time where I enjoyed the whole phase. Now I’m not one of those people saying “it ended at endgame”, I’m going deeper than that. For me, it’s hard to get get into these movies when there ALL the damn same. There all comedic, green screen popcorn flicks. Look back at phase 1 in the mcu, half of those films used practical effects. The first avengers film was filmed on location and used practical effects for almost everything. That’s why the movie feels so real and will hold up down the road. Look at DC right now, James Gunn only uses practical effects and he’s in charge rn. The Suicide squad, Peacemaker, Superman, even the Batman. All of those were filmed on location with use of practical effects. Instead, I’m going to have to watch the cheesy Brave new world where it seems like every damn shot is in front of a green screen. I’m sure half of the suits/clothes used are cgi as well

@@iraford5788 I’m not saying the mcu is not having success. It is. But in terms of quality, it’s just not there. I could be wrong but half of the shots I’ve seen from brave new world footage is green screen or cgi. I gotta put some respect on Ryan Reynolds. He pushed for more practical effects and on location filming for Deadpool and Wolverine. All the costumes were real and little cgi was used. My number 1 example of bad quality in the mcu is no way home. That entire movie was filmed in a fucking studio. No real NYC scenes which is criminal for a Spider-Man film. I think the saddest thing though were the masks. All cgi. Stuff like that doesn’t hold up down the road. I know I’m nitpicking but I’m a movie buff…I like quality films in terms of cinematography, visuals, practical effects, etc.

Hell no. Galactus isn't really a final boss type; fundamentally, he's a force of nature, beyond any mortal conception of good and evil. Setting an entire saga against an enemy without any sort of ideological conflict (which is present in characters like Doom and Thanos) would make the entire conflict pretty boring. He's not a villain to be punched, he's a problem to be solved, and that's where the FF step in. More than superheroes, they're scientist-explorers, who often seek a more creative solution for a crisis like Galactus. All that besides, you know, Galactus being an FF antagonist in the comics first and foremost.
