I'm subscribed to 198 channels at the moment and don't turn on notifications because that would drive me crazy. I just look at my channel list and see who has posted new videos when I want. The other day I noticed you hadn't uploaded a video for a while and wondered what happened. Over the years I have seen several channels I liked suddenly stop new content with no explanation, while others eventually post an update. Death, sickness, suicide, drugs, serious accidents (usually vehicle), losing interest in KZbin, changing the direction of their life, etc... Very glad to see you are back and look forward to future videos from you!
