When you were talking about being “passive aggressive” it made me think of my job as a supervisor. I think a better word/phrase for what you described would be direct but professional. I think it’s important to be direct but kind and you definitely described that. Being passive aggressive usually means you never bring up the problem but instead ignore it and maybe roll your eyes or something you know what I mean? I love your videos Taryn, you’re killing it. ✈️✈️✈️

You are exactly right! Thanks for correcting me, I figured I was using passive aggressive wrong but at least you understood what I was trying to explain. I'm glad you are enjoying the videos 💙💙

I remember when I worked as a nurse, of backstabbing that would go on I usually ran interference for friends on the job. Some of the worst back stabbers were actually doctors. There were times I would have to call an attending physician, because a resident MD is about to perform a procedure that looks dangerous to me. I would then stall them until the attending physician arrived.

Sounds like you made a good call. If I'm ever uncomfortable with something I would definitely do the same thing! What do you do now for work?

@@tarynonajourney Primarily retired and collecting both my pension and Social Security. I was running a family business while still working at the bedside, and for 10 more years after I retired .That was sold in October .I still work a few shifts here and there to maintain my skills. I’m into vintage memorabilia and collect vintage, battery operated ,toy passenger planes . I own several Boeing 707 Airliners, TWA,Pan Am,, and American . I have an American Airlines Boeing 727 Lockhead, Electra, and DC -7 ;they all work as well . I wanted to be an airline pilot when I was a child. However, I suffered an eye injury . That was back in the day when they required pilots to have 20/20 vision, so I went into healthcare.

@@tarynonajourney While still working at the bedside ,I also ran a family business for 21 years, including 10 more years after I retired from nursing . The business was sold in October 2023 .I periodically work a few shifts as an RN, to maintain my skills . I just chill now. Spend a little more time with my kids ,catch up on a lot of reading, working out ,getting myself healthy. I retired from a county hospital, which is also a university teaching hospital. Retirement, wise, having worked at a county hospital ,I receive an actual monthly pension from the state retirement system plus my Social Security benefits. So I have two streams of income ,not wealthy, but comfortable.
