Monterey Hills falls within the South Pasadena School District, no need to move into greater South Pas to have access to the school district.

Monterey Hills described on this video is part of the Los Angeles City. There is a Monterey Hills Elementary School in South Pasadena. Maybe, this what you're talking about. There are very few school kids in the neighborhood. Once the young couples have school-age kid/kids, they move out. School selection is a major issue and condominiums and townhouses are not suitable for growing kids. I live in Monterey Hills, L. A. most of my life because of the hillside view and its quiet neighborhood.

Many homeowners who moved out kept their Monterey Hills units as rental properties. Many medical students, interns and residents are renting here because of close proximity to University of Southern California. Of course, the area is nice, too.
