What to Expect Out of Class of heroes 1 & 2

Class of heroes was originally released for the psp and (second game) ps3,
but the truth is that they are pretty much obscure games, or even among DRPGs content creators i never heard about it.
but oh well, in this vid I share what i expect out of this game, based on other entries I have seen from the same company, and you know that bad habits die hard. lets see if i am mistaken.

@@gamingodyssey5633 the beginning of a channel must be tough, but the best part is that every single subscriber, like and comment counts. Later on, it becomes about numbers and stats, and the magic diminishes.

@@734ch3r while the channel is pretty small, I guess I would need to see hundreds of comments to kinda dismiss them. I have a humble mind on the matter, as it is a hobby, so, I don't think I'll reach that point to take things for granted. (I say this right now but I'll be sure to remind it to my future self if needed XD)

@@gamingodyssey5633 yeah, many people are like that, but if the channel gets big enough, it's impossible to read and answer thousands of comments, especially if you post videos regularly. Anyway, new subscriber here. I noticed you like Monster Hunter a lot. I had over 300 hours both on my PSP and my 3DS playing MH Freedom Unite and MH 4 Ultimate, respectively.

@@734ch3r yeh because of work I don't have that much time to work in many vids XD so probably 1k comments sounds reasonable to answer along the week. And yup, I enjoy MH a lot, in this last entry I played over 1k hr, also because of builds and "no armor runs" :'p so I am actually waiting for wilds to be released next year, 😁

I think the problem with Class of Heroes is that they don't understand there are two kinds of old school mechanics, the kind that made the games hard, but memorable, and the kind that makes you save scum. I like older games with a lot of depth, like this race matches this class better, and this skill works well with this type of character, etc. and I don't mind if bosses test your ability to get these mechanics. Class of Heroes has some of the bad ones though, like characters that age (the stamina stat), and aging, as well as race, makes you lose stats at level up, so save before leveling. Or perma death decided randomly, so save before reviving, etc. Those kinds of choices don't add to a game, they add to the tedium, and aren't really hardcore, they're just annoying and make it harder to learn the game. Kind of sad they're so common in DRPGs too, since without the tedium these games can be great, like Dark Spire, Etrian Odyssey, etc.

Yup, agree, that is exactly what happened in labyrinth of Zangetsu, it has interesting mechanics, but unfortunately they do not land on the right spot, rather than turning them into something memorable as you said, and as many old DRPGs are, they exist as a form of hindrance to add play time.

as one of the 10 people that like class of heroes 1/2 and beat them, these kinda suck to be honest. I've seen better implementations of it's ideas in random RPG maker projects. like mine lol

XD sometimes it's all about weird/lazy executions. Personally I am excited to play the game and check what is it all about. Later will share for who I recommend the game, but at first glance, Acquire is kinda peculiar, on this kind of games :'p
