Here's a tip for the rosebud cheat. When you add the !;!;!; part, you can add an extra character at the end and hold enter. It will give you an error but the cheat will still work and you get simoleans faster since you don't need to retype it.

The SIms is much like World of Warcraft. Both titles back in the day (early 2000s) were crafted with loving care, took time to create etc. Now, they both exist to milk as much money as possible. How the mighty fall.

Great video! It’s really nice to see you back! I’m so excited that The Sims 1 will finally be accessible to new generations who started with The Sims 3 or 4. Many probably never tried it before due to the technical hurdles of running it on modern systems, so it’s amazing that they’ll get the chance now. That said, I’m a bit worried about how the game will hold up if they re-release it exactly as it was. While I’ve been able to play it without too many issues on Windows 10/11, it’s still a very limited and often frustrating experience, even for longtime fans like me. I really hope they add some quality-of-life improvements, maybe optional gameplay tweaks for those who want them, and-most importantly-better mod support so the community can truly bring the game to life. Also, having more music tracks from the original composers would be incredible! Fingers crossed that they make the right choices with this release! 🤞

I sincerely hope so too, to be honest. Making this video was in part to warn people-it’s an odd game, and an old one at that. Having said that, I do feel like we are in an era in which people again appreciate cosier, simpler games that do not necessarily have complicated mechanics but deliver hard on atmosphere, such as Tiny Glade. Well, here’s to hoping that they spruce it up a lil’!

I still have the original sims CDs but I have not installed them in years so who knows if they work. Either way I'm excited for new players to experience the sims 1!!! I am a Sims player that stubbornly held on to Sims 1 till like, 2020 lol; the only reason I stopped is because my computer simply could not handle how difficult it was to run and install. After that I played Sims 4 and felt like a 1900s time traveler being shown a smartphone. You are so right on difficulty though! to this day, when I play Sims 4 I have an unconscious anxiety about their jobs and needs, but it has been made SO much more manageable compared to 1. I am extremely happy to hear 1got a re-release. I am crossing my fingers for new cheats, custom content, etc

Good memories. I was 12 years ild when the Sims released. Will Wright was a genius to me and I've read every magazine article about the game eagerly while awaiting the games release. Bought it on day one, me and my brother played for hours and weeks. I'll get the game for the feeling of joyful times with my brother. I'm 36 and we dont get to spend a kit of time together nowadays.

This is how I found out EA is rereleasing the Sims 1... wow. I'm not a huge fan of charging people more money for games they've already potentially purchased BUT- this is awesome because it's pretty difficult to get the Sims running on modern operating systems. Yay! My childhood!

I haven't played Sims 1 in a very long time due to a combination of moving on to 2 and then later 3 as well the compatibility issues of running Sims 1 on more modern systems. I had completely forgotten that there were no days of the week in Sims 1. I had also forgotten how expensive the piano was to buy. I could have sworn it was more accessible without having to use the money cheat.

The hardest by far -- yet oddly the one that works best for long running casual play as well, as the lack of aging means there is no time crunch to find a spouse or have a kid. (The lack of aging never bothered me, as I just imagined them living the same number of days as a real person and I don't expect you to look visibly older in 100 or even 1000 days.)

Back in the day I got all expansion packs up to Unleashed and... well, RL ate all my free time. That was on Windows 98 and 2000 (NT)... years later I've been trying to run it on my Win 7 and it was already a pain, I was never able to make the sound working. I didn't even try to launch it on Win11, giving up on the title for the favour of Sims 4 via Steam. I'm very happy that Sims 1 will make its return - I love the brutal, yet simple rules and limitations. And the legendary music - without mods. tricks, hacks or using external playlists.

I love the sims 1. I still play it to this day. It took me months to figure out how to get it to run on modern computers. I had to download a lot of patches. Especially for sims 2. So if EA rerelease the games that can run on new computers then i am really happy with that!

I received The Sims as a gift for Christmas in 2000 and still have the CD. I also possess the Livin' Large and Hot Date expansions. This game holds the most nostalgia for me, especially the piano music, which evokes strong nostalgic feelings. I eventually acquired The Sims 2 and The Sims 3, with the latter being my favorite due to the color wheel and the ability to change materials. I finally gave The Sims 4 another chance. Although I had it since its release in 2014, I hardly played it until last year when I decided to purchase various expansions, stuff packs, and kits, making the game more exciting to build again. I prefer building over gameplay. Recently, I found a patch online to play The Sims 1 on Windows 11. However, I admit it is challenging to return to the first game due to the fixed camera angles and lack of zooming, but it remains very nostalgic. I will most likely purchase it if it is re-released.

"The Sims" it's so underrated in the Sims community and it literally has the best content. Sims 2 just have very good graphics, it was revolutionary in that part and Gen Z relate to that game more too. But i played both games since i was a child and i always found myself coming back to "The Sims" because it had much more realistic details, that the Sims 2 lacks. Anyways, i hope BOTH games get a remaster someday to get the same gameplay but with the graphics of today's modernity. Hope that's something i can see while im still alive. I'm 29 now 😅.

The move objects cheat is also the best way to cheat a sims needs back to full! You just delete the sim then click on their portrait to respawn them. Make sure to save your game first though or else any skills gained will be deleted too!!
