Nice helmets! Yep, it's an expensive hobby.. But as long as you buy original for the right price, it's a good investment! The prices keep rising.. Just a Single Decal SS M42 would normally not go cheaper than 5K. If you talk about Double Decals and rare Allgemeine SS etc, you are getting in the 15k / 20k +. It's insane! :)

@Sean Rooney Eh.. I think you have to read my comment again, because your comment isn't really making any sense.. I never even mentioned the word "black" in my comment.. I was talking about the prices, and said that (For instance) rare Allgemeine SS helmets are really expensive. I didn't make any mistakes in my comment. Thanks for saying my collection is impressive, but I think you need to read a bit better before replying! 😂

Deals are still out there, even a couple years after this video was presented. Just picked up an EF64 M42 shell in post war black paint (not ground dug) for $200 usd. Almost zero rust with only one minor easy to fix ding. Keep your eyes open! Thanks for the video!

Really like your “grassroots “ low key presentation . Your simple honest down to earth presentation was great , in todays world of hype and BS . Just a creative suggestion, might be helpful. As you do and produce these videos. Have a very very simple script .or mini agenda . So when you do these excellent presentations ..they will all have a consistent “ patter” to each one . Nothing complicated just a 5-10 item, bullet point agenda you follow . Sort of - what item is , how many made , how many still exist , types made , where made . Market sale history .current market . Just a suggestion that popped out at me when I saw ya video .hope it helps . Keep up the cool great stuff .

Hi, any idea on value for a ww2 firemen or warden type. With origional liner, chin strap and nape ( covers back of neck) all very good. The paint inside is black excellent. The paint outside is flosfurent green (glows in dark) some marks and very small dent but 8/10. It is missing the band that goes around the helmet, but the loose fit rivits in the breather holes are there. Quite rare as not considered a trophy by alied troops, and I've only seen 1 other similar I arcing pictures. I inherited it in 2014 from my friends estate who's father was in the British army during ww2 and later stationed in post war Berlin on rotation untill around 1950. A local collector / seller wants to pay me $100 to $ 150, but he buys and sells with massive profit margins of 3 to 10 times his buying price. I'm thinking valuesvminimum $500 to Max $750 but have never seen a comparable helmet to gauge. Thank you all

There are still cheap original but repainted shells from the Czech Republic. If you can find a way to contact a collector from there perhaps through a forum you may get lucky. I have 3 ex-Czech M42's which cost about 100 to 150 US each. Worth looking for a seller there before the source dries up completely.

Back in 1994 payed around 100 Dollars for the Helmet (I'm from Europe). And the mint condition M-42 helmet also bought in 1994 for ammount of 250 to 300 dollars.

Shell sized ET66. It has the liner dome string, but it's broken. It has the soldier's named ink written on the liner...."Mehrstedt." I have no idea of it's current worth. The Heer single decal with no liner is about $500 and the relic has no value to anybody other than the "new" generation of collectors who for some reason (probably lack of money) collect relics instead of collectible helmets.
@goose333 жыл бұрын
I collect relic helmets because they have more of a "story" than a helmet that has literally nothing wrong with it A helmet in that good condition has seen nothing in terms of combat I like the stories and or the imagination behind my relic helmets

@@goose33 this is the same reason I'll buy a relic type helmet, I think one with damage or bullet holes has much more story and it more interesting than a mint condition helmet, mint condition helmets are cool in their own way but the relics have seen combat and have taken damage in combat

I'll be honest the pricing doesn't sound right. I BUY and Sell and trade ww2 helmets from all over the world and usually I get them for about 330 functuonal condition-400 exceptional condition canadian doller. I don't deal with the so-called rare ones worth 10k, which is usually people just saying if you want this right here, its going to cost you a kidney. If people are actually selling these for 600 bucks and up, then people are dumb to buy them, especially without it being complete. I have about 15 german ww2 helmets in pristine condition that I didn't pay over 400 each for. I have 26 for sale no more then 400 and I just looked on 5 of my sites and there's like 59 pristine condition ones and 87 well used but complete in good usable condition for sub 400 canadian . I'm not hating on this guy or his video but it grind my gears hearing people mark up these helmets just for capital gain and greed. Gas went up 15cents a liter last week so my stuff is worth 100 bucks more now.... get out of here lol.... I feel better now... sorry for the outburst call lmfao
@anglishbookcraft15163 жыл бұрын
These are US price buying guides as after I’ve moved to Europe all dreams of getting the worth out of your helm goes straight out of the window. I had an original apple green paint barely rusted M35 size 66 shell with double decals and even a slight bit of soldier artwork, the shield being in B shape and the Eagle in C- shape, it had the original pins and liner band. I wanted 650 for it but nobody would buy it for a whole year, no kidding and I thought 650 was a great deal. Ended up folding and selling it for 300 as nobody in Europe cares to pay more than scrap money for German helms. Seems like a stereotype but it comes off like only Americans pay top dollar for our gear.
