Got a male in 2021 and a female in 2022, about a 1.25yr gap. Also got a lab with the male. The male doberman is as expected the perfect protector, developing a deep emotional bond quite early on. The male lab on the other hand was extremely curious and rebellious and only bonded deeply after an age of 2.5 approx. The female doberman was extremely playful and eager to please right from the start, and about 1.1 yr old right now. She's fully bonded with the other 2 but still working on building a deep bond with her. Basically I was away for the entire day in the first 3 months, except a week, after getting her.

They are amazing creatures. Lots of energy in the puppy phase so be prepared for that and you will be good to go!

Just lost my dog last Saturday, and had my eyes on possibly getting a Doberman. I've never owned one before and wouldn't know if it would be the right fit. I'm 33 and drive an 18 wheeler so 🤷

I have a dog thats part dobie. She looks dobie and has the habits. I love this dog. Id be lost without her. Shes gonna be 5 next year. Im looking to get a pure dobie next. I love this dog. I never go anywhere without her. If she cant go, neither will I. She sleeps with me, eats with me and travels with me.

Congrats on the new addition! I'll be traveling to pick up my doberman puppy in a few & it's about a 5 1/2 hour drive also. Was she sitting on your wife's lap the whole time? Did u stop a few times?

Yes she sat on her lap most of the way. We also moved her on the floor next to my wife's feet which helped some to. If you can bring a towel with and get some of the other puppies/mothers scent on it which will comfort your puppy on the ride home and in the kennel for the first week. Good Luck!

Hey Damon! Prices vary from breeder and location. You can expect to pay anywhere from 800-2500 depending on what's included. You can always start at the AKC Marketplace website and look within a 500 mile radius. You will most likely have to get on a list with a breeder but be patient and just do the prep work you need to do in the mean time!

Im thinking in breeder Doberman in Los Angeles California, I studied the breeder and have breed here in Brazil. European lineup. But some people said to me if California is complicated because os law and the couture to adopted . I’m a young guy thinking in live to USA. If u can help me . Saying how is the market pet in there.
