Why did you hide the part where you’re emptying it? That’s the part. I wanted to see because when the guy emptied mine mine just has a small outlet hole and he put the hose right at the top. I thought the hose was supposed to go down in? Isn’t the hose supposed to go all the way to the bottom surface to get the sludge out?

I did not see how you determined it, would be helpful if you could show us how to spot a scammer, if the tank does not need pumping. ( I was charged over 2300 to put a concrete lead which already had, ( "new kind for 2018" ) a concrete baffle which I dont even know what that is or do, and which I dont think he installed by the way and I saw no pumping ) I do Investment properties and I would like to know how to NOT throw my money into the wrong people's pocket. You can call the county or health department and ask for a map of your septic system. Most of the time they will have this and can email it over to you. The map will show how many tanks the size of the tanks and approximate location of the tanks and drain field

Question. The 15 houses in my subdivision are over 20 years old and have never been pumped and nothing has happened, yet all these septic companies say to get it pumped every 3 years. What’s the deal?
@spidermight8054
@spidermight8054 3 жыл бұрын
@@Smoshylife i suppose it's because though there appears to be no problems, there often is once the tank is inspected. Concrete tanks deteriorate and plaztic tanks get all distorted. People can fall into them.

@@vf3289 Stops running where? Into the tank, or out of the tank and into the leech field? If it stops running into the tank, your pipes to the tank are either plugged, or your leech field is failing. In short, yes: you can dump straight into the tank, but if your leech field is failing, it would just back up your sewage pipes to the house just the same as if you flushed the toilet/etc.
@spidermight8054
@spidermight8054 2 жыл бұрын
@@vf3289 run a water test: put a running hose into the LIQUID SIDE, the side that feeds the leech field. Run it for 15 minutes. If the water level remains the same, your leech field is working and you have a clog between your house and the tank. If water level rises, your leech field is failing.

So. Most tanks have two holes inlet and outlet. Depends on company if you save money for digging up. Outlet is very important to keep effluent from drainage. Always tell your technician to dig up your outlet. And ask if the outlet fitting is secure. Do not put any additives to your system except root killers depending on surrounding trees and shrubs. Rid x eats material and creates more effluent and or Dabris to enter your drainage. Make sure that if a technician says your system is “high flow” that they probe your drainage. Some companies try to sell you all new drainage when it is a simple root infestation. Call action pumping for any septic questions more than happy to answer any and all questions no matter locations.

We have had multiple septic companies clean-out our brick wells (1960s home before cesspools were mandated/zoned). Whenever we ask them how much they pump out, they claim they don't know, but, that sounds absurd, because, there's a graduated fill-tube outside their truck's tank. If it weren't there, how would they know when it's full? So, why don't they just tell the customer how much they pumped, unless they're trying to rip people off by claiming more than they actually do? And why didn't you show the sludge-cleaning ("jet") process?

How much does it cost to get a septic pumped
@WindRiverEnvironmental
@WindRiverEnvironmental 4 жыл бұрын
@@charlenejones5152 it can cost varying amounts based on any number of factors. You may live in an area that has regulatory fees or requires digging to get to the covers, so it is hard to say. The range can be as little as a couple hundred dollars to as much as over a thousand based on the other work necessary. it is best to ask someone more local, and get a few quotes to compare.

Those are cleanouts - if there is ever a clog in your main sewer line, the technicians can snake from those lines instead of digging up your inlet cover and snaking from the tank. Extremely useful especially if your tank is deep or the inlet tee is not exposed.
