Insurance Companies obtain a consumer's credit report they are governed under the FCRA and must be compliant. Insurer Obligations You must have a permissible purpose before obtaining a consumer report - generally, that the report will be used in connection with the underwriting of insurance involving the consumer or with the consumer’s permission (§ 604) - and must take certain steps after you take an adverse action based on information in the report. 15 U.S. Code § 1681b - Permissible purposes of consumer reports (a)IN GENERAL Subject to subsection (c), any consumer reporting agency may furnish a consumer report under the following circumstances and no other: (2)In accordance with the written instructions of the consumer to whom it relates.

I have a question I was sitting in my car that was legally parked in the parking spot getting ready to go into the dentist and a sheriff ran into my car from the back I hit my head and was thrown around I went to the hospital on the spot Called a lawyer and my lawyer got mf into a mri I have a slipped disk or bulging dick out by 3cm I got 3 epidurals but it’s still hurting so now I’m being referred to a surgeon but when I talked to my case manager today I asked her what was going on with my case she said they denied my claim back in may I asked her why they didn’t inform me they denied my claim she didn’t have a answer to give to me. My question is how can they deny my claim when he was 100% at fault. I’m pretty sure it’s on camera he didn’t have his lights on he wasn’t chasing anyone I was legally parked and the cop hit me ran into the back of my car he’s 100% at fault
