Got a couple PODS coming our way soon. We've got a driveway surface that's wide enough (just about 1' wider than 12'), but very tall holly tree/shrub branches are definitely pushing into the way. Would we need to cut these back, or would it be ok if there's a bit of rubbing and scrubbing of branches against the truck/container?

Hi, Ronnje! To accommodate our truck and PODZILLA, please ensure there's a total clearance area of 12 feet wide, 15 feet high, and 40 feet long prior to delivery. If there’s anything in the way or any other obstructions, our driver will use their discretion to determine where the unit can be safely placed.

This is roughly a little bit longer than two standard parking spaces. If your driveway isn’t 40 feet long, no problem. The maneuvering area can include the street as well. Please keep in mind that placement is always at the driver’s discretion.

Many customers call their local community for information about any restrictions that might exist just to be on the safe side. Hi, Virtus! When you park your car on the incline with your vehicle's nose facing uphill, and you open your car door all the way, does it stay open? If so, we should be able to place a PODS container. If not, give us a call at [phone], and we'll work to see if there’s another location we can put your container. @@pods Doors on my vehicles have two stable positions. Do you mean I should use one of them (the one with the bigger opening)? Because the doors stay open when in either of these positions, but will close at any other angle. This is what confuses me.

How long can i keep the pod and is there an extra charge based on how long i keep it in my driveway? If i am not storing it but having it delivered directly to an out of state site, can i guarantee it wont be delivered prior to a certain date?

Has anyone seen bedbugs, silverfish, cockroaches, or rats at a pods storage facility?

What an interesting question, Liz! Similar to a home, garage, or outdoor shed, insects may find a way into the container. However, the only access point into the container would be through the front opening (when the door is raised). Our containers sit several inches above the ground, and the door is designed with a rubber seal. We suggest keeping the door closed and not packing and loading items that may attract insects. Our Storage Centers also have preventive pest control maintenance. We hope this helps!

Do Pods put the container on a air condition storage?

Regardless, your container(s) will be stored inside, receiving a “double layer” of protection - the steel-framed container plus the building.
