Also, even before seeing video. make sure to try balance the weight by not having all heavy stuff to one side. and as above fill like tetris. as to fill gaps as u showed so nothing is able to move til u move stuff later any. i have moved in past and it can be a pain if not get rid of stuff so not to waste space lol.

Using a 8x8x16 for a cross-country move, but I don't own enough items to fill the entire pod. Do I spread the weight out low and even along the bottom?

Yes! It's recommended that you try to distribute the weight of your belongings evenly throughout your PODS container. I do have a reservation for a 16' box for 2 weeks from now, If I need to add a smaller one after packing the 16' how long it would take to get the additional one?

Hi, Majid! Service dates are based on availability. If you're on the fence about whether you'll need an additional moving and storage container, we recommend reserving it now for delivery a few days after your first container is delivered. If you find you have enough room in your first container, you can cancel the second container at no cost.

can I use a regular "gym" combination lock like the ones we used on our gym lockers?

Hi, Samantha! Most of our containers have eyelets every 4 feet and our newer containers have e-track slots. The customer is responsible for providing their own straps.

I live in a narrow street with a small driveway… can I get a 16 foot pod? Also does anyone have access to your belongings inside the Pod at anytime?

Hi, Ashley! In order to maneuver your container into place, PODZILLA and our truck will need a total clearance area of 12 feet wide, 15 feet high, and 40 feet long. This is roughly a little bit longer than two standard parking spaces. If your driveway isn’t 40 feet long, no problem. The maneuvering area can include the street as well.

Hi, Stanlene! Our local drivers use PODZILLA when delivering and picking up customers’ containers. Within our Storage Centers and for long-distance moves, a custom forklift designed to accommodate the size of a PODS container is used.

Is it best to use cardboard boxes or can you use plastics totes with lids?

Up to you, Sue! Plastic bins are going to be more durable than cardboard boxes.

Basically, cardboard can be crushed easier if anyone puts heavy weight on top of light box so bins better and easier to stack if all same kinda bins together.

Can we load a zero turn lawn mower if we empty the tank?

Hi, Mayra. Great question! Hazardous materials such as toxic chemicals, gas, liquids, substance, material or waste, lawn mowers, motorized vehicles, and illegal items cannot be moved or stored in a PODS container. Please refer to your rental agreement for additional restrictions on what cannot be moved or stored in a PODS container.

"How To Load" starts at 3:30. Before that the video is general "Where to Place the Pod" and "How To Pack Your Things" stuff. I came just for the title, because I'm quite experienced at moving in general, but not at how to load a truck (and presently I am most concerned I won't have enough to fill my 16' container...in fact, you could/should do a whole extra shorter video on securing not full Pods).

Can the pods be delivered so the door opens up to the garage vs the street?

Our drivers are advised to utilize their judgment when making deliveries. If they feel they can’t successfully put a container in a spot without risk to you, themselves, your property, the container, or our equipment, they won’t place it.

@@pods I have a 3 car garage driveway. There is plenty of room to maneuver. I just don’t see the purpose in putting the door towards the street vs the garage where one can walk right out of the garage with the furniture etc… and pack it straight into the pod without walking around the pod EVERYTIME.
