This is my hour-by-hour video showing you the crowd sizes and what you will see on 6th Avenue waiting for the parade to begin.
Don’t think you can show up an hour or two before the parade starts and think you’ll get front row. The front row was full at 5 a.m., over 4 hours before the parade reached us. And it didn’t get to us at 52nd Street until 45 minutes after the actual starting time along Central Park West.
If you want to be where the parade begins up there you will have to be there even earlier. Probably closer to 3:30 a.m. if you want a front row seat. And remember, you have to bring your own seats. Those grandstands aren’t for regular viewers.
So sit back and enjoy this short video.
