When wearing contact lenses, if you are over 40 years old and want to have correction placed into your lens, you can use either monovision or multifocal contact lenses. Watch this to figure out what to expect!

This was actually very helpful. I'm in my mid 50's and just started wearing contacts couple weeks ago after decades with glasses. I'm experiencing exactly what you described about the eyes adapting. I'm wearing the Acuvue Oasys Max Multifocal Daily Disposables. In the beginning I was skeptical they weren't going to be as good or better than glasses. As my eyes adapt now, I'm really starting to enjoy the multifocal contacts and prefer them over glasses now. 👍

This is the best explanation I’ve heard so far. Im 3 weeks in with multifocals and i see clear some times and other times that blurr u mentioned in the back. I hope it resolves eventually. Today i went from seeing clear to seeing completely blurry leaving the theater. I have been to the doctor 4 times and i come back with the same prescription-1.25 + 1.50 I don’t have many choices.

I'm 2weeks into multifocal lenses and still have semi-blurry vision when looking at a computer, phone, and small text. Will wearing readers over multifocal contact lenses delay the brain's learning period?

No but you can talk to your Doctor about this and have them adjust the lens prescription as well!

Thats sounds like self inducing amblyopia to me

Thankfully you cannot develop amblyopia after the age of 7 years old, and people using monovision/multifocal are over 40!

Hi. So which do you recommend?
@infocusvisionsolutions11 ай бұрын
Hello! That would depend on many factors - your eye Doctor can make recommendations after a full eye exam. Dr. Morrison is able to provide recommendations via online consultation - read more about those here: www.youreyesinfocus.com/online-consultations

@@infocusvisionsolutions Most eye doctors will revert the decision back to me lol hence Im asking your opinion.

@bj10jgo Until then, consider your goals for your vision as this can help you decide - do you need to see close up for work, reading, hobbies, etc.? Distance for driving, etc.? Which do you need/use the most, or which are you more reliant upon?

@@infocusvisionsolutions I normally wear a 3.25 for contacts. I was given the option to wear mono -contacts or bifocal contacts. Both have cons. Like when i wear mono contacts, it always feel like one contact is missing. When i wear bifocal contacts, i notice the clarity is not so great for long and short distance. So it's really a hard decision because there is no perfect contacts like before when the issue was not able to see far but now since my vision to read close is getting blurry unless i remove my contacts, i have to get one of these options.
