Hai Matt can you please advice me on an appropriate rootstock for commercial growing in a sandy with a bit of salinity in the water i.e Perth swan coastal soil . I am thinking more on the Lamb variety because it is more resistant to salt burn around the leaf edge. Can you also suggest some varieties to best of your opinion for my purpose. Much appreciated thanks!

How long does it take fruting if we plant seedling tree? And if we grow seedling tree and purning it after 4 year does it give fast fruting? This question i am asking you because seedling trees are fruting late and very tall.

Try and get a polyembryonic avocado seed. West Indian varieties usually are polyembryonic. The seeds will have a clone of the parent and maybe also a fertilised seedling too. Several shoots coming out seeds are polyembryonic. If you get mono embryonic seeds they are not true to type and will be a brand new variety. It still may turn out nice though so try it. But polyembryonic seeds will fruit a lot sooner than mono embryonic seeds.

5 to 8 years in ideal conditions I think is when they should fruit. But again the poly seeds can start fruiting a lot sooner than single shoot seedlings. So always always keep the poly seedlings.

Gem avo seeds are polyembryonic btw so try them out. They are nice as avo fruit too. I don’t know your area but if u live in warm place then you can grow the West Indian varieties not a problem. They do not tolerate cold winters very well. But don’t ever think you can’t get good fruit from growing avocados from seed. You can absolutely get amazing avocados from growing from seed. If you are older and don’t want to wait as long we’ll just get a grafted one. But what I am doing is growing heaps of seedlings from all types I can get fruit from. Then I am going to graft onto them some good varieties I like but I will also be leaving some of the original seedling to grow too so one day it will produce fruit and maybe it will be awesome. If it’s not nice fruit I will graft more varieties onto the tree I do like and get rid of the branches of that type.

What about the quality of the content, not the quantity and subjective conveneince such as stringyness, and no I don't buy with just eyes, what about nutrition.
