Is there any way to wire the e brake on a motor controller to the actual brakes since they already have wires for the brake light?

Good info right here. Still ain’t found a way to fit a 500 watt controller in the battery housing of a 2 lol,

Yep the 500w I believe is right at 5.91 inches It’s possible but you would have to cut out that back square area so that the controller slide all the way through. But just too risky for me Like water damage controller moving freely having not having a complete closer. best bet -450w - controller = bird 2

This might be a dumb question, when you bridge the b+ to p+ on the battery, the bms no longer works right? (Like it wont turn the scooter off or stop charging if there is a problem that would normally be detected by the bms)

Tbh i am not sure with electronics but on my end charging still works and stops when complete (used genuine bird charger) p+ literally is just red positive wire. Usually it's better to replace it with your own bms but some decide to save costs and bypass it.

Bms still works after bypass. After a full ride the scooter will just slow down until it stops completely. Headlight and Taillight will still work obviously but no you don’t have to worry about driving your scooter down below voltage. Just go home and charge it. Works every time.

So what it looks like if the charging on the bms is seperate from the output port, then the bms will still work for charging. If the charging is hooked directly into output port, then that bms need to be replaced.
