Lucky friend! This is beautiful and functional, I would love to be gifted something like this, I am sure she will be very happy. Your painting is very beautiful. I went to a Harekeke (New Zealand flax plant) workshop, it was for a whole weekend and we learned how to prep the fibers for weaving and made a little basket, it was a lot of fun.

Wow that's so cool! The only thing I know how to weave is a puti puti harakeke (flax flower) did you harvest the flax yourself? I learnt about saying a karakia (prayer), not to cut the three middle stems etc, it was so interesting 🤗🩷

I am think8ng that I'm going to do a start to finish journal during the Christmas break, would that be helpful? I've dreaded doing it as my process in real life is so chaotic and not tutorial worthy lol so I'll really have to plan it 😆

You say not beautiful but functional. It’s both! And if I received something like that I just might always look through it! That’s beautiful! Great ideas and truly functional! I saw the lion’s head for sure. Painted with a piece of cardboard eh? Wow!!! And it is amazing what people can paint with their mouth, toes, etc. amazing talents come through some of those disabled physically. Amazing. I wondered if, Caroline?, would see the video. I hope she kept away so she’s very surprised upon receipt! What great ideas altogether. Is the columned paper also from an old atlas? Thank you for sharing the things you’ve made which are in this and for showing us this. ❤
