Car Geeks I don’t know if it was a joke or not but if it was, it isn’t funny. Engine covers don’t do shit but discourage the average consumer from tampering with their vehicle, and it adds a logo to the engine so the manufacturer can act like they developed the engine even though in most cases that isn’t true. The reason you’d take one off, and only reason anyone would take one off is if you’re always working under the hood of the vehicle or modifying the engine. As you probably know, having a giant piece of bolted on plastic can really get in the way of ignition maintenance and radiator hose replacements (if the cover covers the hoses) etc

Gotta say, once that exhaust conversion is complete, this might just be my favourite-looking 328i.

The 328i has 230 hp the only thing so-called tuners don't like about the 328i is the fact that it lacks turbo and it's rpm redlines around 6k. IMO the 328i is a sleeper, drive it in M or DS mode and that thing will go!

The BMW is the perfect example of when the peak HP numbers don't matter so much. Countless reviews and comparisons and races with cars that have 40+ more HP and lose (M vs camaro). Wide torque band. Really wide.

Charge pipes come stock made out of plastic. It pushes air through them very hard will caused them to blow up. So you buy an aftermarket one made out of metal so it dosnt blow up but also increases throttle response.
