Great tips for walking in the norwegian mountains. It's good to be well prepared for the longer hikes one can go on. A great tip is to not go on the most demanding hikes at the start, but try a shorter one to check your gear and stamina before tackling the harder ones. There are many beautiful short hikes out there worth going on.

What is your opinion on train runners instead of hiking boots?

Train runners are used by some sporty mountain goats, but! We always recommend to have the shoes with good ankle support. This is why hiking boots are our first recommendation always.
