this is a very good video! you gave positive points about every single creature, where most youtubers i've seen have made a habit of speaking negatively of certain creatures. you seem to share my same sentiment, where every creature is good in its own way and there is no 'bad' creature, it just depends on what you enjoy playing. loved this video!

That's exactly how I look at it 😁 if you hold every dino to the same standard then of course some would be considered "bad". I think that's how many people look at it; and if you judge every dinos' worth by how strong it is, or how fast it is, or how tanky it is, then you kind of miss the big picture. Playing Aquatics is a unique experience. Unless there are others around, it basically feels like you run the entire world. It's kind of awesome. The Sachi mod in particular is pretty fun. I'm a Laten main. Challenging to get used to solo, but definitely the most fun for me. I definitely want to run an Alio after this video, though. Sounds like it'd be right up my alley. I main as kentro I love how you can take on multiple mid tears as a solo I’ve had 1v3 with megs, concs, and metris. By far my favorite with stego right behind it.

Just a tip if you are able to with a solo alio player try and do hit and runs bite the enemy first run and don’t get hit then wait the timer out and try as soon as it ends to bite again then rinse and repeat till there dead. With this strategy I’ve been able to kill ceras in 1v1 and when I fight my friends I’ll usually get them down at or below half before my health bar hits 2/3

Imo pycno especially in a pack now is very op. If you're good enough you can solo apexes and you can definitely kill most mid tiers with your charge. A full pack of 4 pycnos is an unstoppable force

@@someone-ke4qj stego is slender enough to weave between the trees and stego has always been able to walk over alot of the branches on the ground that most dinos get caught on

​@someone-ke4qj well stego can do well hiding on a ledge so that people have to take the hits rather than fall off but if there are enough people chasing you it will still get you killed as they take turns resting. Forests you can kinda navigate around while they can't just run in full directions.

Alioramus my main yeah. Also Alioramus is not a bad short distance swimmer at 300 swim speed. You can’t go wrong with it. It can outrun basically everything except 2 creatures Struthi and Campto.

Kias barrel roll does 75 damage and they are impossible to catch unless you are a kia yourself. They look awesome underwater, I ran into 2 of them in the ocean and they looked so serpentine and cool threatening underwater. I think as a pack they could rock it with their barrel roll attack. However they aren't very good in rivers in my view they need more space and some skill.

I was playing a lot of Alioramus, was an ambush genius but in one day megs and pacys killed me 4 times i was so pissed i deleted it and it was on official servers kinda makes me sad i did it with this new buffs.Might even try it again...Also i don't know if this is a new mechanic but venom is not stopping stamina regen in the water.

I’ve been maiming Spino for awhile it’s so good against groups of smaller enemies and decent against other apexs aslong as you are near water. I’m trying allo and good lord I can’t do anything I lost to two deinonychus and megalania

Problem with thala is that it takes too long to kill anything, i have done the blind spot and was killing an afult sucho and he callef a discord friend another thala to come kill me from behind as i focused on him.. so its very hard becuse the damage is to poor and hes just to light.

Just started playing, I’m running a struthi right now. I am about to hit adult, I really hope they give it a claw attack or something that doesn’t take stamina to use. It’s a great soloist but the problem is you have to constantly avoid being around other players. What are your opinions on the better Dino’s for solo play? I am playing on console so chat and all that is hard to use. I don’t feel like having my headset on and talking to folks. I just want to play the game.

I have a few recommendations. For a solo player, being able to fight is rivaled by ability to escape. An ideal pick would be the kentro, which can be run very speedy while dealing impressive damage and bleed. Metri is another good choice thanks to its speed, Stam, and venom attacks. Styraco is another very speedy and very formidable option- a lot like kent but more front-facing with its attacks. Meg can also be a very good option so long as you run it aquatically and always remain within sprinting distance of a large body of water. Pachy/pycno can both be fantastic solo dinos as well, and even get buffs for playing outside of a group. Hope this helps!

@@SDoS21 it does, I’ve decided to quit playing until they do something about all the pachys killing babies. Literally on official, I had a Pycno one quest away from getting past juvie and was killed 7 times by pachys running all around the map just killing babies. They need to do something to their stamina or something, can’t outrun them, can’t put stam them, and if their in a group and you hadn’t been able to grow enough, they show no mercy. Why it’s a problem that the goat of the Dino world is more of a problem than carnivorous species is not good game management by the devs at all. I may try one of the other choices you listed, but I just don’t have fun literally losing more growth in a day than gaining. It’s hard enough to find an area offering quests, and the I’d find one, hear footsteps, start to run and hide and then get attacked by like 2-4 pachy’s. I’m finding this game to be awful for solo players or casual gamers like me. I may only get to play 1-4 times a month, so I raised a struthi first, also killed by pachys 3 times, and a gang of cetratos once. Now that I’m adult, never will I ever joking a group. Last time I played I joined a group ( didn’t know how to leave the group ) tying to earn coin for a black skin, and I gathered all the items for the quest quickly ( to the benefit of the party members ), and then rested and the pachy started attacking me knowing I didn’t have enough stam to run from him…. I got to say that takes all the fun out of the game. Hopefully they will add AI because this game has a lot of lousy folks playing it. AI may give folks something else to do than to kill babies or betray party members. Either way right now if I only have a little time to play, then I’ll just play a different game or do something else.

I don't really care about the trex stats being nerfed, the play style changed and you just need to adapt to the update.. i know it kinda sucks but i had the most fun on my rex, you just gotta be extra careful. I still main the tyrant king until today :))

Can you give some more tips on how to PvP with a Styracosaurus? I hopped on a deathmatch server to try it out the other night and I was pretty disappointed by the fact that anybody half-decent will face you and when you go in to stack bleed you'll end up receiving more damage than you deal in the trade. I just don't really know how to fight with it or which fights I win

Sure. Firstly, I would be very sparing with the block. If you have to eat a big hit, then use it as quickly as possible because you're gonna need that stamina. Stay on the move and remember that you have nothing but time on your side. So long as they have bleed their combat timer isn't lowering. That means that from the moment they stop bleeding you have another 30 seconds to land a hit before they even start to regen health. Your speed is your greatest tool, so rely on it rather than your charge. It may be tempting to charge at every opprotunity but again that Stam is your lifeline. I would personally only use the charge when initiating a fight or closing the distance on a healing dino. I recommend doing most of your fighting with the headbutt, wearing things down over time and staying on the move. I'll often shoot for the hind leg of what I'm fighting if I'm just keeping the bleed stacked. Also, remember that your head takes reduced damage. Eating hits from a tail will be much easier for you than taking bites, claws, or stomps. Tail riding is an option but I wouldn't try to stick out a fight against something big by staying on its tail but it can be efficient once they've started getting low (granted you have the health and stamina to keep up at that point). Hope this helps!

Just have this mentality as a Sty player. If its the size of an Allo or smaller, fight it. If it's bigger, run. You cant fight everything.
