While I agree that it can go either way for Daspleto to have a tail attack or not, I've found that having the tail attack is better in combat situations whether it be warding off smaller mid-tiers like Cera and Metri or chipping away damage at someone without risking a body shot.

From what I noticed in terms of combat in general. The winner is usually the one who can lay on as much damage up front as possible. So opening with the heavy bite on an unawares enemy is pretty important. After that it's not really worth using, mostly due to movement and turn radius restraints.

Btw the damage buff call for daspleto only works in groups now, which it used to work for solos but they made it so it doesn't anymore for solos. So now it is exclusive to tyrannosaurus in groups such as groups of dasps, rexes, and alios. (This is good to remember for those that did not hear it in the video, which it was mentioned)

Also there is a ton of good advice in the video that people should try, yet if it doesn't work immediately that is due to dasp being an animal that many may need practice with before just jumping into Apex hunting. Definitely a good video.

Dasp is my 2nd most played dino and you’re so wrong about the defense species especially after his speed buff. A full defense build now is just as fast as a full speed build from before AND it has a significantly better turning radius. However you could also go full speed and keep up with almost anything in the game which is really useful if you’re hunting midtiers. Basically if you want to hunt high midtiers and apexes go with a full defense build with max turning radius. If you want to hunt small to medium Dino’s go full speed WITHOUT the traction ability because you can still be outstammed by quite a lot of the smaller dinos so you want to regenerate stam as fast as possible to keep up but you can’t really do that if you’re regenerating stamina slower with traction. You can also play as a decent ambusher with Dasp. Go full speed with the bone break bite. It’s really bad if you’re straight up fighting but if you catch the enemy off guard with a bone break it’s a really easy victory. Personally I prefer a full defense build because I like going after the big boys but sometimes it’s pretty fun to be a pursuit predator with a speed build especially if you have teammates.

I’m trying to learn dasp currently, for apex hunting is it better for heavy bite or bone snap to stop them turning as good on you or with precision does that really matter? Also with smaller prey is it better using the ambush and bone break tactic?

@@Neytiri94 Heavy bite all the way. Apexes can’t catch you anyway (except for trike when it charges) so there’s no point in bone breaking them. You want to maximize your turning radius and defense if you’re fighting apexes and high midtiers. For smaller prey I’d still recommend heavy bite. I personally don’t use the bb bite that often because it slows you down but if you’re a full speed build with it equipped what you can do is hide in a somewhat popular area and wait for someone to lay down for stamina at which point you can try to rush in with bonebreak. Usually doesn’t work but when it does it’s pretty much gg for them. In summary: use heavy bite lol.

I disagree with bone break on solo. Speed is king when you're solo. If things go south, the speed can save you. Not always but usually more often than not.

U wouldv won sucho with tail attack it looked like anyway but, theres a decent amount of attacks you wont get witha bite but you would with your tail. Often the fights come very close where a few hits decide. I feel like dasp does very well against pachy yoo.

Yes and no. Ofc if you use it when there’s a bit of distance between you and your opponent, it’s just a waste. In my case I don’t let it charge all the way up and wait to activate it when they are close enough to not be able to dodge.

Defense and speed are better than balanced this guy is wrong. It just depends on what you want to hunt. Go full defense with max turning radius for high mid tiers and apexes. If you’re hunting smaller dinos then go full speed WITHOUT traction and keep your tail attack equipped.
