This is *so true* and often a blind spot for people learning to code on KZbin. Once they get into an actual programming world they will be working with legacy react code bases

Keep the hard work!! Job market is tough, but letting them know that you are also used to working with legacy code will be a big plus

Tutorial idea? Concurrency on an end point? Not sure if I've phrased that right, but no tutorials ever seem to cover how to have multiple users access and edit a dashboard reliably. ie: another user has that record open or is editing as you pull the data to your frontend. Do you use polling, or check the record hasn't changed since you last retrieved it, or lock a record in the db etc. Always confused me a bit on the way forward

I'll tell you exactly what to expect: nothing works as it should, no smooth development, occassional tight deadlines which require ton of overtime, bad decisions by other coders which will come from the past to haunt you, no time for refactoring, using libraries with little to no support, bad decisions by the management ....most of the time.

Nice video, thanks. Think the 'redux is oldschool' view might be exaggerated though? how's react query better than say rtkToolkit to the point where it's making it obsolete? Definitely not replaced by context imo. you're 100% right though that it's a pattern worth grasping
