It's pure hate. I was An Atheist and all my friends would verbally attack Christians and got angry when the hate was not returned. A lot of them are dead from drugs and suicide. I was lucky to reach to Jesus for help. There is usually an underlying issue for these attacks. Lets hope he falls into the hands of Jesus before he's crushed by the hands of the world.

Yes. But "Not everyone who says unto me lord lord shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he that DOES the will of my father who is in heaven" DOING? Isn't that a work? Yes works of righteousness ALONE do not save us, for we have sinned. His mercy makes it possible to make it to heaven, to redeem us with God, through faith, but faith without works is dead. This seems to make it pretty clear that the 'work' we do for salvation is to believe on Jesus. If you are talking about sanctification, about being of service to God in furthering His kingdom, about living as a witness and a testimony to His Grace that others might also believe, then yes, works are important to that. If you want to grow and mature in grace, then works are a crucial part of that process. If you wish to be rewarded in the life to come then do works for God. Mortify your flesh and give all you have to the work of His Kingdom. In so doing you will earn great honor and the approbation of God before all. But if you think you can do a single thing to merit salvation, to earn eternal life, then Jesus will say 'I never knew you.' The sense I get from those who wish to force a works based salvation on people is that they think much of their own holiness and would prefer that others who are not as 'good' as they are not be in heaven. Remember the Pharisee who prayed "God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.' And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, 'God be merciful to me a sinner.' Remember which one of those went home justified.

@@radfid5082 I understand most of what you said, just one thing; I want to understand where you stand in reference to your interpretation of the Bible. When you say, "good works are evidence of faith", what do you mean by faith in this context? From what I've read, the base of faith is believing that Jesus is your savior. So what would it mean if a believing Christian does not have any works? Does that mean he or she has no faith? Or does that mean their faith is not good enough? But then what faith would be good enough? Since faith is believing in Jesus as your savior.

Faith alone can't save us from our sins. Jesus called for men everywhere to repent and trust in Him. Without repentance, as the Bible says, faith is useless. It's like the man who had the money belt and drowned in the water. He wouldn't remove his moneybelt, and died from it; just as we, if we hold onto our sins and don't repent of them, will be brought down by the weight of them, leading to an eternity in Hell.

@@jordanlee3883 When you accept Jesus as your savior "Through Faith" you literally in that moment drop the belt of guilt of sin and Jesus becomes the guilty one. I think many people miss in Romans that once we are under God's Law (Accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior) it is no longer us who sins. The Law of sin is still very present in our lives, just as promised by God, however it is no longer us who are the sinners. We are made new, made righteous, literally made white as snow though "our Faith alone". The only work that leads to heaven is the confession with our mouth of our Faith in JESUS. I Hope that clears it up for anyone wondering!

Jess where is that In the Bible?? the Bible has a definition for “repentance,” and religion has a definition for “repentance.” The Roman Catholic Church has invented “penance” (suffering for your sins, such as flagellation, or beating yourself with a strap) whereas Protestants have a doctrine called “penitence” (feeling guilt or sorry for your sins). Neither of these religious doctrines is in the Bible. Unfortunately, people have confused Biblical repentance with religion’s penitence and penance. My friend you are following religion rather than the Bible, if you like we can have a study of what repentance is in the Bible, let me know.

That’s an awesome video of the truth. I learn so much from the wisdom and kindness that Ray gives in these videos.. This young man is clearly drawn by the Holy Spirit to Jesus for his salvation.The keys of the kingdom are found in Acts 2:38 -46. Baptism always followed immediately after repentance and turning to Jesus and being filled with the the Holy Spirit by asking Jesus to fill us with His Holy Spirit. Renewing our minds by god’s word daily helps us grow from a believer to a disciple of Jesus while at the same time making other disciples of Jesus Christ. The early believers were all Jews who believed in their messiah and decided to follow Jesus forevermore and they broke bread daily from house to house and fellowshipped together and prayer and healing the sick.

Sometimes people just need this raw truth that is either NOT preached in a local church, or they haven't heard it because they're waiting to get a "round tuit" in picking out a church. Of course, I'd say the timing of doing that was just right in this man's life. Once he gets himself squared up with God and a good understanding of Him and salvation, the likelier he is to find a good church. (I always press "read the Bible, don't be afraid of it, you don't have to understand it all, just READ it" -- because the more Bible you have in you, the less likely you will fall for false religion, false Christianity, or false preaching!)

As a driver for a senior living residence I take the faithful to a Catholic Church every Sunday, missing my own Presbyterian services the last several months. I've also sat in on a Jewish service and I can see where car Catholicism came from the Hebrew services. Much more singing than in my church but what they also have ok common is that one is greater than the congregant.... The priest and the rabbi. Jesus says NONE is greater than you except Him and God. Even the angels are here to help and serve US. So the truth is we need not pray to statues and altars, or hold other men in higher esteem than ourselves. JESUS is the only intercessor between God and mankind. He is the direct link. The same reason men craving power and wealth rejected the Messiah in place of themselves is what hold both Judaism and Catholicism in the stagnant grips. Repentance its self is a gift from God, just like salvation. We have all fell short of the glory of God, nobody other than Christ himself was ever good enough to earn salvation. Those in Christ will be judged to see what eternal rewards they will gain but only the Blood of Christ can bring eternal Christ. No matter how good a life somebody has lived if there outside of Christ they could never earn salvation.

Turning away from your sin. Everyone has had habitual sins meaning sins that you enjoy commiting over and over. Repentance is turning from those sins and not commiting them anymore. Once you repent and you repeat a sin that you repented from you should feel convicted and should immediately pray for forgiveness.

Sir you are right in your argument to this man. That all are saved through the passion and death of Christ. But you simply do not understand the Catholic Church. We do not go to Mass merely as some business transaction to please God. Rather it is an act of repentance, by going to Mass we worship God rightly. The prayers of the Mass are made to change us and to change our hearts. In the Eucharist we get to offer to God the atonement for our sins. Jesus Christ in the true presence in the Eucharist. We get to offer up to God our redeemer. Because he gave us Him to offer. Christ is the Sacrifice to atone for sin, Hes our Sacrifice. That is why we say that the Mass we return to Calvary in an unbloody manner, cause Christ dies no more. When we recieve Christ we become one with Him in a powerful and profound way. This is what the Church has and always will hold. Its purpose is for us to partake in the Sacrifice of Christ for the atonement of our sins, in a physical way. To say we dont need to do this is unscriptural. "Unless you eat of my body and drink of my blood you shall have no part in me."

Israel Country Cube There are huge differences between Christians and Roman Catholics! Christianity is not religion, it’s a relationship! repent, and confess that you’re a sinner, and then ask Him into your heart! Revelation 3:20-21 “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. 21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.” Fulfilling the requirements of being a good Catholic would never get a person to heaven. They are not taught the gospel. They are taught that Christ only pays for some sins, not all! A lie! Catholics are taught that they must all spend some time in Purgatory-which doesn’t even exist! Christians depend upon the Bible but Catholics look to the Pope and to their priests, and to pray to mother Mary to intercede in their behalf. Christians pray to God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, believing what is written in 1 Timothy 2:5 “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” Christians do not pray to saints, or to Mary. In Christianity, the only immaculate Conception belongs to Jesus, not Mary, which is what Catholics are taught. That Mary is the immaculate Conception! Christians do not believe this!

So we cannot do anything for salvation, because that would be our work if we can do something, anything. Only we can believe because that's not our work. That's our decision to chose the right way. We make a choise because we have free will to believe or not to believe in Christ. So, if you really believe you're saved and you become a child of God. Simple as that. The eternal life is a gift. You just need to take it. Like a present for your birthday. You cannot earn a gift. It's yours, if you want. If you don't want then guess what God will not force you to go in Heaven without your free will. But, on the other side you cannot enter in Heaven on your way, with works, cause you're a sinner and God is perfectly just judge. So, it needs to be on his way, through sacrifice of the lamb of God our Savior Jesus Christ. You cannot lose your salvation. God promised that once you believed you're saved. When you receive your gift that's it it's yours. That's mercy. Just take it and it's yours. You can only lose this life, God can punish you in the body if you do something unjust to others, but all of us will die so that's not related to salvation for eternity. If you're not saved then you will die twice and only that can be a real problem. You cannot lose your salvation cause it's unlogical and unbiblical. You cannot for example today became a child of God and tomorrow lose that and became again a child of Satan. And after 10 days again and again and again... If you're a child of God you're a child of God. That's an eternal gift and privilege. You can be a problematical child, a black sheep in the family, but you're still in the family. You can be problematical sometimes cause we're still flesh, not only spirit. An old guy is annoying sometimes, but the newborn baby (guy ) knows that he belongs to the heavenly family. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith; and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 Jesus said: "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; John 11:25 If you're really saved than congratulations! As a child of God you can enjoy and be happy everyday. Now it's time to think about others, unsaved friends and enemies. Now, you need to spread a Gospel to others. A lot of people need to hear that. 1. There are 3 kinds of people in this world. a. Those that do not believe in this Truth of Jesus's salvation . b. Those that believe in this but do not want to make themselves worthy of it by obeying all that the savior Himself asked mankind to do. c. Those that believe in this truth and strive till their last breath to make themselves worthy of this invaluable salvation given to them as a free gift by their Lord Jesus Christ. In which category do you want to put yourself in ? 2. Jesus's resurrection is THE way by which God freed mankind from eternal damnation and bondage of sin. This is a fact and the ultimate truth. However satan has tactfully worked out a plan by feeding people this incomplete gospel by making them superficially satisfied with the belief and not live by it. 3. Remember this important point, knowledge and belief that the salvation is through Jesus's resurrection in only a small part of the whole concept though the most important first step towards it. Making ourselves worthy of it is the tough part for man and that's why people who preach the wrong and incomplete gospel message do so out of their open denial of this truth. 4. Can you see how illogical and laid back a man's life is if he was to just believe in this truth and while-away his entire life without making oneself worthy of it and working towards it. Look back at the number of years wasted by you because you were bound by this partial knowledge. 5. Again I tell you, it is not that my Lord's salvation is not complete but that He created us in His image with free will so that we can prove our worth and that is the greatness of His plan and grandness of His design for salvation of mankind whereby He can rightfully give due credit to that man who chose to live a life as shown by Jesus to claim the salvation made available to man.

If we can earn our way to Heaven did God do a mistake over 2,000 years ago by sending His Son Jesus to suffer and die upon the Cross for our sins? Absolutely not because God is perfect, holy and righteous in all His all ways and we are not but sinners before Him. Jesus is the Perfect Substitution for us because He died in our place upon the Cross and took the just punishment we deserved upon Himself. He did that so we can go to Heaven and is only through Him by faith(John 14:6)

Obviously we should accept that Jesus Christ is our savior and we should have faith in him, but James 2:24 says "You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone." So do our actions not matter as much as our faith? You say the Catholic Church says you can do things to save yourself (could you provide a footnote for that?) but the BIBLE (James 2:24) is what says that a man is righteous both by what he does and by his faith, but NOT by faith alone.

James ch. 2 goes on to explain "...faith without works is dead" verse 26. A living, healthy faith WILL produce works, just like a healthy living tree produces fruit.
