Teds bulletin is great, so great in fact they were a large reason why we are going back to DC! 😂

My son and his wife used to rent a house on Capitol Hill, but now have bought a house in a neighborhood further east. They have taken us to so many things in this video. I love checking out the vendors in Eastern Market and we often go to the restaurants nearby. Also, we saw a play at the Folger Shakespeare Library and it was excellent!

Wow, cool! Folger Shakespeare was a great place to see live theater and hopefully will be again soon!

I lived here 25 years. I've been to Ted's and JimmyTs Jimmy's has an old menu posted on the wall with 1950s prices. Also, Mr. Henry's is an historic jazz club that featured famous performers from the jazz age. And finally, The Folger Library sits where a funeral home once sat. A lady named Mary Z. Gray grew up in the house where her family ran the funeral home. She wrote a book about her life experiences growing up in the 1800-1900s.

In 2015 I had lunch at the Capitolio congress restaurant and found the price and food to be very good!

I will watch all the neighborhood videos. A guide to the not so touristy ones is welcome, but I understand if they don't make sense for you. I like when maps are included that show where the stuff you talk about actually is

This makes me excited. We booked a row house airbnb within the boundary near Stanton Park. I wasn’t really sure where to stay but just liked that it was close to union station. Now I’m looking forward to just walking around there too. 😁

Have you tried the restaurant Silver Diner is also in Washington DC but I don't know what is the area. Has old style classic 80s and 90s is Ray healthy food and I very recommended. I have also tried in Silver Dollar in my local area in Virginia East Coast best service.

Just watched this and your Georgetown video. I'd love to see you cover a less touristy neighborhood. Takoma (DC and Takoma Park on the MD side) has a lot of cool festivals and restaurants. Just a suggestion!

I have been binging your videos and have learned so much! Question I haven’t been able to find an answer to. What’s the best way to follow the DC circulator bus? Do these show up on google maps or any of the apps? Thank you!
@TripHacksDC2 жыл бұрын
Go to the Circulator website on your phone, then BusTime then Real-Time Map. The interface is clunky but it mostly works.

There was the Firehook Bakery on Capitol Hill, but unfortunately, it closed down permanently due to the pandemic. Many of the people that visited Facebook worked at the Library of Congres and so they lost customers when the Library closed

I don’t think many people outside of DC know that Capitol Hill is an actual neighborhood. They’re just referring to the actual Capitol Hill. I went there on my trip because I wanted to visit North Carolina Ave., because that is my state. Definitely not that touristy.
