I am finding that the right clouting at the right time is important. Good see your view on the subject. Thanks for sharing. I do have wells with neoprene lining. They actually came in handy on a recent trip where we were snowed in for about a week, walking around in them really worked better than I imagined.

Hi Glen. The wellies (muck-boots) are just perfect for outdoor photography. The only thing is they can get hot if walking a lot, but for general work and waiting - they are perfect.

They really are perfect for nature photography. Only thing is they can feel a bit heavy if walking too far.

Paul, interesting vlog. Nice to see you relax and enjoy what you do. Thankyou for sharing your clothing as this is important part of the kit as well, which should really be discussed. Would be interested see another on what you wear in spring/summer when it is warmer, or just what you consider would be other interesting items of clothing to wear. I have watched some vlogs of other photographers where they put on the full camo gear and look more like hunters. Enjoyable yet again to watch, and look after that ankle.

Thanks Euge. That's a useful suggestion. Camou is o.k. but often not necessary - dull colours are usually enough!

@@PaulMiguelPhotography Thanks for the advice, look forward to future vlogs and more of your experiences. Especially the spring clothing feature, see you out there.

I enjoyed your video. Here in the States we call them muck boots or gum boots … Wellies? Hum.
@PaulMiguelPhotography5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Larry. You're right - I actually should call them muck boots or dirt boots. Although lots of us seem to call em wellies.

Two words for you.....Waterproof Trousers. I've got an old pair from a waterproof suit for golf. So handy, can kneel/sit anywhere and my trousers stay clean and dry. Plus, an extra wind resistant layer to keep my legs warm!

Yes I do have them too. I've got most clothes for most eventualities.!

ever get sore knees? i occasionally wear tradesmen kneepads, think they were 5-10 euro from lidl - they're great if not in a hide and scrabbling around in undergrowth! also the small spongy pads which are usually in the gardening section (though also a lidl buy) are handy in the backpack if you end up parked on a damp river bank for a few hours. its not the comfort aspect really but the cold which can really seep in even through waterproofs/waders. keep up the vids!

I'm totally thinking of getting some. I really should do it, so you've probably pushed me! Thanks Brian.

I always think recommendations for gear that others use and like is best. What brand and model welly are yours? It would be helpful to know so I don’t waste my time and money buying an inferior pair Thanks Keep up the great videos
@PaulMiguelPhotography5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for that. I've checked before and they actually don't have any brand name - they just say 'dirt boots'. They have a built up arch and a red bit on the sole. I find them on ebay. Otherwise the original muck boot company is the place to look. And there is a make/style called Derwent which seems to have good reviews.

Muck wellies is a mixed blessing. I can't wear anything inside mine and the loop at the back causes both pain and damage my skin.

I am very I interested in nature. I am, however not very interested in watching men crawl around on the ground! LOL Very good video. The wellies would be wasted on me though, I'm in a wheelchair! LOL

What would have been helpful.. when describing the clothing. Give links below, give better description what the material is made of. You were vague and not very helpful with the muck coat.
