I’m currently a teen and I’m waiting till I’m 18 to audition. I really hope by then I’m not considered too old cause people are expecting idols to be super young now! But you should do online auditions already when you're 16 to 17 years old bcz many companies say that people who are 18 are not eligible anymore. They always have an age range that goes up by one year every year. However there are also some company's that still accept 18 year old. Just google the company's website where you want to audition, go to their online audition page and look at the eligibility. If your skills aren't that good you shouldn't start your auditions with 18 bcz I heard they accept "older" people only if they are already perfect and only need like 3 months of training or so. But if you're 18 and your skill is at a level where you need many years of training your chances are lower to get accepted. You need to have okay to good visuals and be good in singing and dancing but what I also saw is that Star quality is super important (expressions and stage presence etc.). I think star quality is for every company important but I saw that hybe and jyp said that they focus more on star quality than on talent. Everything I said about the age range is about hybe companies online auditions I think SM and Jyp have (for the online one) no age limit. For the in person auditions I dont know much about the age range. I hope you make it. ❤👍

ok so i have a question…if you are non asian do you have to be in a group with other non-asians/non-koreans or in a group considered a global girl group, or can you be the only non-asian in a group with only koreans and other east asians. also, if you are non asian, even if you are the only non asian in your group, is the group still considered a global girl group and not just a kpop group. for example apparently VCHA is a global girl group and not necessarily considered a kpop group.
