Thank you for the comment. While we have dressed in the tuxedo and formal long evening gowns, we have been feeling just as comfortable in a bit less formal attire. Great video. We are looking forward to our first cruise on this beautiful ship in February. The Gala nights look amazing. Just wondering is it possible to buy masks and bow ties on board?

You are going to have a blast! Relative to the question, Yes they will have a small selection of masks, ties, shirts etc for the gala nights. They are more simple... gold, silver, white, black so you could find something if you don't bring anything with you. Oh and just a heads up, Cunard cruisers do not call the QM2 a ship 😂 They call her an ocean liner. If a die hard Cunard'er hears you say ship they might mention it’s an ocean liner. I call it an ocean liner or vessel. If you engage in everything Cunard offers I can’t say it enough you are going to have a blast. We hope you come back and give us a review of your experience. We thoroughly enjoyed your video. Myself and my wife always enjoyed Queen Mary 2. Dressing up for formal nights was always fun especially, Masquerade Night. It added to the interaction with other passengers who also loved the fun. We enjoyed your videos on your world cruise immensely. Look forward to your next voyage!

We cruised on the Queen Anne in May 2024 (British Isles) and we loved the elevated dress code and gala nights. So I had my tux...something a little different than we usually do in America. Nice seeing others in formal attire also.

People need to learn how to dress for occasions. This "jama pants at the store" is just lazy thinking. I love casual to elegant.

Yes, bring as much luggage as you want. But getting all that stuff into the closets or drawers can become a problem. Also, Cunard offers White Star luggage service through Luggage Forward that will ship luggage from your home to the ship and back again. Prices vary according to the size and weight of the luggage and how fast you want to get it from one place to the other.

We have to agree if you overindulge with clothing you might have a storage problem depending on how much you packed. We knew of this luggage service however, it didn’t work for us because we try to pack light and most of the time we carry our luggage onto the ship. We are 'almost local' to the Brooklyn port - and our QM2 sailings are round trips. As a result we tend to massively over pack, filling the wardrobe space in a Britannia room

That's awesome!! Cunard definitely encourages its passengers to over pack. Cunard wants their passengers to partake in all the events. We really had a blast dressing up. I just hate to over pack. Don't go on cunard if you don't want to dress up, there are plenty of other cruise lines. Also where is the lido buffet and winter garden on Queen Mary?

We agree with you 100%! We can’t wait to get back on the QM2! We like what Cunard and specifically the Queen Mary 2 has to offer. We mentioned winter gardens for passengers who sailed prior to 2016. In 2016 Cunard transformed Queen Mary 2's Winter Garden into the Carinthia Lounge. The Lido Buffet is AKA Kings Court. Thank you for your comments and coming along on our journey around the world.
