Hey Matt. I am the 15%!!!! Woohoo! We are a husband/wife team in Alberta Canada. In summer we get up to 90 degrees f here, but today it's currently -20.1 - Fahrenheit!(-29c). I love your videos so much. You address so many things we deal with. Haha. We filmed a wedding last weekend and praise God it was above zero. But we still have to dress in many layers. Using a touch screen camera in the cold is a pain in the patootie! I would love to see a video on choosing music (the bane of my existence), we live in cowboy country and 50% of my clients want country music, which doesn't exist in the world of music licensing. Keep 'em coming!!!

Thanks so much Natalie! Hahaha I hope your husband can use my clothing tips then! :) It was 74 degrees f here a few days ago. :) Colder now! I'm planning on making a video about music selection in the future. As someone that lives in Texas, people love their country music here too. I would recommend looking deeper through Music Bed and Marmoset Music's catalog. There are a lot of country gems in there if you dig a bit!

I must agree with pretty much all of your tips. Dressing like a guest is great! I would throw in, also make sure you do have a moisture wicking black shirt as well, because some venues request all vendors wear black.

i used to wear Champion golf pants at work. They were super comfy and breezey. Only reason I stopped wearing them is because so freak accident where they got caught on something and ripped in a bad unfixable way. I wore them for nearly 3 years. I'd highly recommend those too :)

I know this video is almost 3 years old, but here it goes. All great advice, but I'd add the suggestion to look at police shoes, which you do not need to be a cop to buy. I use Bates Footwear, which are good quality and quite affordable. They make black "tactical" boots, and I also have a pair of uniform dress shoes which are amazingly supportive and comfortable.

i be rockin skytops also but when its super hot out my feet sweat a ton in them. check out the Native Apollo Mocs in all black. super light and comfy and have good support. they breathe really well too in the hot months

Matt we lived in San Antonio for four years so we can completely sympathize with the heat. My husband wears a Levi stretch golf pant that is similar to yours. He finds them really comfortable and looking good. The stretchiness of the shirt really caught my eye, how do you wash it or can it be washed? Shoes: black Asics walking shoes in leather if you can find them. Underwear: Uniqlo stretchy ones, longer so thighs don't chafe. Pants: Lululemon ABC pants in black, navy or grey. These are light, breathable, wrinkle free and stretchy, but are appropriate in business situations. Shirt: nice shirt in mid grey, cotton for breathability

Love this tip, its not weird at all. Its very helpful to know this sort of (on the job) tips. So thankyou for sharing. I would be interested to know your thoughts about having your shirt embroided with your company logo or website the back. Or do you think it might be distasteful to do so. Do you get a lot of people coming up to you at weddings asking for a business card etc. I've been to weddings whereby I've seen the photographer or videographer leave their business cards on every reception table. Good or Bad?

Thanks! I haven't had any shirts embroidered but I have thought about it. I don't think its really necessary as I am usually trying to blend in and look like a wedding guest. I give business cards if people ask.

Great stuff... Personally, I rely on Nike walking shoes (their running shoes don't come in black, and are way too overpriced). Also, I think New Balance make walking shoes - just as comfy as trainers, but look like dress shoes from a distance.
