If I understand the settlement correctly, our sellers can still provide a buyer's agent commission but we are not allowed to share it on the MLS? We are allowed to share it on our websites but not on the MLS and its third party sites. Is that the gist of it?

I believe that for California Realtors the only changes this lawsuit brings is the mandatory use of the CBC (Cooperating Broker Compensation Agreement) and the BRCB (Buyer Representation and Broker Compensation Agreement). Our California Association of Realtors Attorneys have kept us in the forefront of consumer protection. This is the season that will separate the professionals from the rest of the licensees.

More specifics coming as we get more clarity on exactly what the proposed settlement ends up completely looking like when/if it is approved by the courts.
