As for this coming Euro basket, I wish you well! I believe you WILL have a lot to say as I believe that the Greek team is up and coming, and sooner or later may possibly rise again to the top. Spain's 6 second places to me was a sign of consistency and that recently we have been on top I am grateful hopefully we can remain on top, we have the talent,but I recognize that there are a lot of great teams, Greece being one of them! Spain was the absolute favorite before even the tournament stars, because from the strong teams it was the only one it had only one absence from its stars (Calderon) . It had a very strong team anyway, but in this specific eurobasket with so many absences the gap became even bigger (Greece had 8 new players, new coach, and 4 of its last year's basic players were missing) . Serbia isn't finished though, nobody can underestimate a team of Ivkovic

I agree with you. Teodosic is better playmaker than any of the spanish ones. But the referees didn't gave us anything. I understand that some people could be angry with Spain, because last 5 times we met Greece, 5 victories (average 15 points per game...). Today Spain will face the most complicated team, of course, but if the played in the same way like they did it against France, Spain will win. Our team is based on the Junior team that won the gold medal beaten USA in 1999.

Kalathes played well today and I think it was one of the best greeks players. Boroussis did it well also. We also have young players, like Ricky Rubio, Sergio Llull, Victor Claver or Saul Blanco (not playing). In the future will see both teams playing for the gold, with permission of Serbia, of course.

The greek team always played well. It's difficult for me to say that "today Greece played without spirit". Spain is different... they can play bad (like the first games), then can play well (like today or against Poland) or they can play superb (France). I would like that spain had always the same motivation that Greks have, because with this team all the games will be won by 20 points we didn't have the chance to won USA in 2006, but, in fact we also did it in 2008 with their best NBA players

The other very interesting thing is that though Lithuanians were first in their group that year, before the semis our team didn't have a day off so we needed to play straight away next day against Russians and they had a day off. Our players were too tired to beat them, thats why they were playing in final that year - Spain needed a weaker team to play against in the finals than the other group winner.

In 2006, the team to defeat wasn't the USA but the mervallous Argentina (Noccioni, Scola, Ginobilli, Delfino... all NBA players and important in their teams) that was Olympic Champion those days if you remember, and it wasn't world championship because they get robbed in the final when playing agains Yugoslavia. Spain did the job and we won the team to defeat, not the greeks.

I also love basketball, but I also likes the truth, and, you know that if Spain plays OK it's a very difficult team, even for one of the best USA teams, as you saw last Olympic Games. That final we were also robbed for the referees, but these are the rules and the win the gold, but not ours... We also played without 3 important players, like Jose Calderon (Toronto, probably, the best playmaker in Europe with Parker), Carlos Jiménez (Unicaja, the best 3 in Spain nowadays) and Berni Rodriguez.
