A lot of Americans would prefer to see investment and development in their own country than overseas, irrespective of whether it cements America's position as a superpower around the globe. The point I am making is that the US are paying their dues to NATO whilst European countries, who can afford it, are evading the cost. That is not the point of the agreement, and is a prime factor in the dismay stirring in the USA over NATO membership.

I'm 15 and during the last years, 2024 especially I feared that my life will be ruined, or worse, by the actions taken by the governments. I always saw war as inevitable and necessary for human evolution, but watching a war, and the consequental lies & propaganda unfold in real time directly at my doorstep.. is unsettling. I hear them in the news talking about proving a point, about russia's faults and spread assumptions as facts. And I believed it at first, then I realize again it's sheer absolute brutality. Something they never talked about except for it being russia that commits. I don't want to die in this web of lies and hoaxs, uncertain what I may go to war and die for. Hell, I don't want to die at all for something so avoidable. May it be indirectly by a nuclear war or directly on the battlefield dying to a 50€ drone, starve, get shot or simply get blown up by a missile shot from a hundred kilometers away. Why don't they just deescalate as they should instead of doing what they'd already a hundred times. Rotting generations into hating each other cause of ethnicity and politics. Trump has to end the war, even if it is at ukraine's stake. I know that it is cold and unfair, but it's a fact that the death toll will only raise, all the emigration also departed a whole future generation away from ukraine, while a large portion of the current generation is being ruined by the war, or worse, eradicated.
