Tariffs will only increase prices on everyday goods at first. But long term it will gradually start to lower prices. As businesses and corparations shift from foriegn to domestic suppliers avoiding the higher overhead for imported goods. It will also be a big boost to small businesses as the demand for their locally sourced products. Increases. Tarrifs in the short term will be a lil painful, But necessary to insure better economic stability longterm.

The big thing you missed in this video is the fact that taxes on Social Security should be illegal in the first place. Double taxation is illegal and that is exactly what is happening. SS recipients have already paid taxes on the wages when they were working and now when retirees desperately need this income the most to live the government gives them the shaft! Retirement may become a problem for Americans
@Stanleee-89 күн бұрын
More and more people might face a tough time in retirement. Low-paying jobs, inflation, and high rents make it hard to save. Now, middle-class Americans find it tough to own a home too, leaving them without a place to retire.

Income tax in the United States was first introduced with the Revenue Act of 1861, which aimed to fund Civil War expenses. However, it was repealed in 1872. The modern federal income tax system was established with the 16th Amendment, ratified on February 3, 1913, granting Congress the authority to tax income without apportionment among states. Later that year, the Revenue Act of 1913 was enacted, introducing a federal income tax with rates starting at 1% for incomes over $3,000. Adjusted for inflation, $3,000 in 1913 would be approximately $91,273 today, based on changes in the Consumer Price Index (CPI).

What about the Child tax exemption for those who pay Child support? Didn’t he mentioned anything about that? It’s very logical that if you’re raising the kids with the child support, why are they going to file for child tax exemption if they weren’t spending their own money for their kids? Because receiving MONTHLY Child support to support the kids financially then claiming child taxes, that’s way too much….. in my opinion
@moneyinstructor13 күн бұрын
That’s a great point. It highlights how complex tax policies can be when it comes to parenting and financial support. What about if he gets rid of the IRS altogether then what happens?
@moneyinstructor12 күн бұрын
If the IRS were eliminated entirely, the government would need a new system to collect federal revenue. The IRS is responsible for managing income taxes, which fund critical programs like Social Security, Medicare, national defense, and infrastructure. Without it, alternatives like a flat tax, national sales tax, or tariffs could be proposed to replace the current system. However, such a change would require major legislative approval and a complete overhaul of tax collection, which could lead to disruptions in funding for essential services.

Get rid of the income tax altogether. Institute a federal sales tax as a constituional amendment capped at, I don't know, 4 percent. That would require an amendment to change it. Most states already charge a sales tax so implementing it would be easy. That would do several things. 1. No complicated code that is ridiculously confusting for most people. You pay four percent on anything you buy with exemptions for basic needs like food you cook at home, clothes, etc. 2. The IRS no longer has to worry about a non business owners finances. Everyime he spends money he pays his taxes and the only way for him to cheat would be with the assistance of a business. So the IRS would only have to pay attention to businesses. The IRS wouldn't need the majority of its employees. 3. Now it doesn't matter how you earned your money, you would pay tax everytime you spent money. Even illegally gained money would get taxed when spent at a store. People that save their money and invest it would never pay taxes until they spent it. Just something my brain was chewing on.

I don't know if you understand just how good the economy was in 2016, but scaring people into something that's going to have positive incomes isn't optimistic. So the more you consume, the more you pay. This will also get the invisible income and take it into the tax system.
