You absolute angel. I just realized I suffer from LPR. I’ve been dealing with this for years and went to multiple drs and none of them had a clue
@BringItOn311242 ай бұрын
You are confirming exactly what I was suspicious of. For the most part, reflux itself is caused by indigestion. The acid type is basically indigestion caused by a lack of stomach acid. LPR is indigestion caused by very low stomach acid. That's why the people who have gerd and take ppis end up with LPR. They went from low stomach acid to no stomach acid. With no stomach acid you will now be vulnerable to parasites and bacterial infections.(gastritis, sibo)

Hello, please advise me on what to do. I think I have LPR

I'm subscribed! I need to take my life back. No one understands what I'm going through and how much it's taking out of me and everyone ever thinks it's in my head or that I need to go to a specialist but I don't have time money or health insurance. All I can do is try to get myself through this

You are so right about the fullness factor. In fact, the minute I even start to feel full I know I'm in trouble, no matter what I'm eating. Thank you so much for your work here and all the information you share. I've been struggling for years and your channel is really encouraging. 😊

I've been waiting 2 months for my appt. w/ the gastro and won't see him until next month. I have reflux everyday and am on omeprazole 40mg per day. I've been following your recommendations and feel better w/ only short periods of reflux during the day (or night), which is much improved over my initial symptoms of burning in the chest & throat all day. Have you ever heard that GERD can cause eustacian tube dysfunction? I have this and it causes pulsatile tinnitus. Thanks for all you do... Cheryl
@BringItOn31124Күн бұрын
Yes with GERD/LPR, your stomach contents end up in your throat, sinuses, tears and eustachian tube. Your stomach content includes pepsin. This enzyme is activated by stomach acid to digest protein. It can cause problems with your hearing, sinuses, eyes, and teeth. Basically your body will be trying to digest itself.

Ppi really help in my experience, i tried diet, meditation and all sorts of things, only ppis worked. Not nice, but true.

Remember ppis are not a fix. They will inevitably cause worse symptoms.

Love all your content! Do you have any videos on slow stomach emptying caused by reflux? The gastroparesis diet and LPR diet don’t align and it’s so confusing what to eat? Thanks

Hi Molly! I recently went to my GI doc about my stomach and gut issues and she told me that I may have Acid Reflux. I havent took any PPIs but I've been having Acid Reflux(cough with phlegm) for 2 months. I would cough during the night at times, I had chest aches at certain times(not all the time), always having to clear throat. I've been trying to find natural remedies of how to remedy what I'm going through, and it's essentially trial and error

I’ve had reflux and a hiatus hernia for 30 years! I’ve had an endoscopy. Ended up with h pylori as well as reflux and a hernia. Took lots of antibiotics for that. I take ppis (for years). Still live with it. I know my diet has a lot to do with it, because it feels better when I eat right. So tired of dealing with it!

does LPR causes bloating? or excessive gas in our intestines?

I have so many symptoms of LPR, not only throat but inflamed sinuses and wet inflamed ears. I can relate worsening symptoms to certain foods, bad meal hygiene, etc. I just had an esophagram and it showed nothing. Is that typical?
@JoyL3512 ай бұрын
That's so interesting about your ears. I have had GERD/LPR for years and also chronically inflamed ears. Never in a million years would I (nor any of my doctors) have associated my ear inflammation with my reflux.

@@JoyL351I can't remember where I heard it affects some people's ears but it all clicked for me in that moment. My gastro doc, PCP and ENT all made light of it so here I am on the internet 🤷🏻♀️

Me too. Eustachian tube dysfunction, I think is caused by the mucus stuck in my throat, I'm hoping when the reflux has stopped ( it's improved alot) and I'm not so anxious about it all, that the mucus will go away

The other point explain the terms, too, but it needs to be identified via endoscopy from your doctor.
