@volt91997 no, it is not getting fired. Once his contract expired he's the same as you and me - any man off the streets. You cannot fire a man you don't employ, and he wasn't a Cowboys employee when the contract expired.

Im confused. Is Ben Johnson not getting a coaching job? The reason I ask is that everyone acts as if Dallas missed the window to talk to him when he still hasnt picked a team. If Johnson and Dallas have mutual interest, cant that just happen after the season?
@florida128914 сағат бұрын
I don't think Ben Johnson goes to a place with an owner like Jerry Jones. Doesn't make sense considering what we know about Johnson. Deion makes a ton of sense but who knows.

@@Sam-pi6chWhere did I say he was going to Dallas..read accurately without bias..i was making an entirely different point My point is everyone calling out Dallas for not talking to Johnson sooner is nonsense
@Thatfantasyfootballchick2 сағат бұрын
the best window to talk to him was during the bye - now they have to wait a bit and he may pounce on another opportunity or look at the way dallas does business and decline
@cmax87192 сағат бұрын
@Thatfantasyfootballchick I get what you are saying and don't disagree. I just think people on tv are overstating it a bit. Since Johnson didn't sign with anyone yet, if hes intrigued about the Dallas job, now that it is opened, he would probably not make a decision until he talks to Dallas after the season. So nothing would be lost. It isn't as if he's already signed with a team and Dallas missed out during the bye because they still had McCarthy. So I think people on tv are not really telling the whole truth when they say Dallas missed out on Johnson by holding on to McCarthy too long. (And to help other people who are reading this but jump to conclusions, I am not saying Dallas will sign Johnson, should sign him, want him, or he wants to coach Dallas. I am simply saying that while it is usually best to talk with the candidate a little earlier, because Johnson didn't sign yet, technically Dallas didn't completely blow its chance to talk with him as it is presented by everyone in the media)
