My grandmother would put a sheet on the ground and my older cousins climbed the tree and shook out the mulberries. They had the dark purple ones and white ones too. Great team work today!!

🤠 MULBERRY HARVEST: Clear around the tree best you can, lay sheets or manageable tarps on ground, under, and shake the tree, some have wrapped a strap around trunk and used some type of motorized vehicle, or ropes around branches and jersey by hand 🤠

Boy oh boy mullberrys. They have driven me crazy when a old LARGE tree would come into it's season , it would vrtually rain over ripe berries creating such a mess when tracked into the house. But I can only imagine what Rachel will create with them. Peace from Calidornia

I can taste a mulberry pie right now. That was one fond memory as a kid growing up, going for mullberies. My dad would climb up into the tree and shake the branch wile my mother and my siblings would hold blankets under those branches to catch the berries. Mom would can them for winter an make a couple pies the next day for us to enjoy. I have to go along with Rusty about the snakes.

I'm only a couple minutes in. But the single pole in the middle could be used if you can go to a street sweeper and ask for used sweep rolls and you can put it over the pole for the cattle to scratch themselves with (most of the street sweepers will GIVE you the rolls.) I learned that from Coghill farm

Rachel, are you able to drill a hole on the tree stump and put salt in it? I used to cut down wild and crazy shrubs around my house and put the salt in a hole I drilled on the stump. This way it killed the root and the stump but not damage the dirt around it. So you could go back and grow something else in it's place.
