This is my analogy of the whole thing, and it's long so bear with me. Courtney is my favourite character and I love her to actual bits, but I definitely get why Duncan was mad. Of course, he shouldn't have cheated, but with the whole list thing, even I got a bit unsettled. One thing I don't understand is why Gwen would do something like that. In season 1 she had her heart completely shattered by Heather kissing Trent, and even after his apology and finding out that she had manipulated him, she still never fully got trust for him for that. Why the hell would she go do the same thing? Especially since she and courtney had become friends at the time, and she was the one to first reassure Courtney in tda that she and Duncan weren't dating, which Courtney believed. Heather and Gwen were enemies, so ofc Heather would do something like that. Also it annoys me that she kept saying Duncney weren't together when they kissed when they were but yeah. As for Duncan, it was kind of obvious that he needed to get away from Courtney, and I'm guessing he was too scared to break up with her cause he still liked her, so he kissed Gwen. Of course, that secret didn't last, but I feel like Duncan and Gwen would've dated in secret if Tyler hadn't found out. The kiss was almost an excuse to break up with Courtney. It was clear that he had still had feelings for Courtney in all stars, and like Scott, he found her controlling nature attractive, except for when she took it too far. He sounded genuine when he said he was sorry, and I can imagine that he genuinely felt bad seeing Courtney so hurt. Especially since him continuing to bully Harold in tda was only because of what he did to Courtney. Seeing Courtney talk to other guys didn't bother him in world tour because he knew she was trying to make him jealous, whereas when she actually had feelings for another guy he got jealous. That's also proven in tda when he got mad at Justin for having a crush on Courtney and getting jealous when they almost kissed. Also not to mention, Duncney have friggin matching tattoos. Duncan always implies that he's been with many other girls before, so what makes Courtney so special? He's clearly head over heels for her. He likes Gwen, but he loves Courtney. In fact, I don't even think he likes Gwen. He liked the rebound. In all stars he literally started asking Gwen if Courtney talked about him. Like that's his GIRLFRIEND. He would know better than to ramble on about his ex to someone who was more than a friend. He saw the opportunity and he took it. Also, Gwen and Duncan have more of a sibling relationship than lovers. Now for Courtney. She was the perfect character in season 1, and Duncan brought out a nicer side to her. I hear a lot of people say that Courtney doesn't like Duncan and was using him, but I very highly disagree. I think that the producers ruined her character just to make way for Gwuncan. Duncney is one of, if not THE most loved couple in the total drama fanbase, even after their breakup. You can tell that Courtney loves Duncan, because she wouldn't have gotten so hurt about him cheating. If she was using him, she would've been only mad and wanting revenge (She did get mad, understandably). However, she tried to get him back by making him jealous, crying several times and only after she went through that whole hurt phase did she start to get really mad. Duncan brought out the best in her, and I wish she realised that. She even states that she's in love with him, and she grows fond of the things she once used to dislike about it. If Gwuncan never happened, then I can guarantee that Courtney would've become a better person and accepted Duncan for who he is. In conclusion, Gwuncan ruined all 3 of their characters. Gwen would never date her best friend's boyfriend, Duncan would never be that mean to Courtney, and Courtney's character was ruined to make way for Gwuncan. I want the season 1 Duncan, Courtney and Gwen back. Thank you for listening to my Ted talk :)

I think that he was going to say that he shouldn't have done what he did. You see, I imagine that Duncan went through absolute hell when he quit the show in the beginning. I also imagined that he managed his tune in with world tour and knew what was going on. That including Courtney and Gwen's newfound friendship. Duncan didn't initially plan to cheat but Courtney's "welcome back" pushed him to the edge. Then he saw Gwen. He felt the impulse to cheat but didn't act on it immediately. And that is because he has his limitations. After the... "moment," (ew) he was sitting back taking in what he did. He was mostly elated that he has a new light in his life. He was happy with the idea that Courtney was pacified by his sweet words and was left to believe that they were okay. In his mind, it almost mirrors what he felt when they become a full-blown couple after the TDA finale. He soon felt that Courtney did the sweet things she did just to use him for her advantage. This was no longer her being a crazy amazing spark plug that had some issues to him. He soon started to believe that Courtney was a monster, but did not run to just let her go because his mind was consumed with good memories of her. Again Duncan relished in Courtney being manipulated. But there was a problem. Tyler knew. Him and Gwen were on thin ice. The guilt was building up in them and it needed to stop. Duncan acknowledged in Greek Mix that what he did what he did in the bathroom without really thinking it through, but he did not regret it because he was so happy with betraying Courtney at the same time. But Gwen's persuasion got to him and decided to do what was needed to be done. Alas, Courtney found out and he saw Courtney being hurt. It was a surprise to him that he felt bad. Anyone can hear remorse in his voice. He apologized but it was not accepted at all. So in order to feel good again he flirts with Gwen. In return, Courtney flirts with Tyler. So that was the nail in the coffin. He came to the conclusion that Courtney's moment of pain along with the flirting with Tyler was all a show. A show to just make him feel miserable. She didn't care about him. Not at all. He got along with Gwen. She had no issues with the way he did things. And she liked him back. So after that Duncan's sympathy towards Courtney went away. Far, far back in his mind, he still had feelings for Courtney. But he'll be accursed if he ever gave her the satisfaction of knowing.

For Gwen, I have to say that her feelings for Duncan were rushed because she rushed them herself. In TDA, there's an extra clip of Gwen seeing Trent happily walking by with Katie and Sadie at his side. Anyone could see that Gwen still had feelings for Trent and seeing that crushed her hopes of them ever rekindling. And after that the TDA finale she did everything to forget about Trent. She latched onto to another guy that was mostly a friend (in which she had a small attraction for). As time went by Gwen was swayed by Duncan being the forbidden fruit. Like anybody else, she was becoming crazy for someone that she couldn't have. It was her strongly liking Duncan, but it wasn't love. It's just lustful filler. Gwen is not the girl to continue to be swayed by the guy that keeps encouraging her to ignore her problems. She knows better. My guess is that she knew the flaws with her relationship with Duncan firsthand. But she ignores them because she just needs a hole to be filled (the hole that was left behind when she let Trent go too fast). All 3 members of the love triangle needed to be single. End of story.

I thought it was more that he craved attention from everybody than he had feelings for Courtney. I think getting her attention would have stroked his massive ego. Plus that eye twitch was due to the fact that Scott was able to get attention easier. Sure he threatened his relationship in All-Stars, but his whole reason was that he came back for Gwen, who on the other end was neglectful towards him that season. I mean why did he want the vultures to play him? And if he still did have feelings for Courtney why did he cheat on her in the first place? Wouldn't he have flirted with her during All Stars? Besides, all three of them were wrong. Courtney was abusive to Duncan physically and tried to change him by force, scolded him for leaving the game, chose the money over him, and did not care about his pet spider, Duncan cheated on Courtney, did apologize but not sincerely, bullied Courtney for that kick and for getting Gwen eliminated, and did not consider Gwen's feelings, and Gwen betrayed her best friend, never apologized until All-Stars, neglected her boyfriend due to lack of commitment and responsibility, and tried to justify herself with something incorrect. Honestly, I think it would be best to not hook up Duncney, Gwuncan, or even Gwent. It does not really redeem their characters at all, fans just want them back together which can create annoying fan wars, dumb assumptions, and toxicity. Plus there is very little to no chance. Courtney would have never forgiven him for hurting her in Season 3, and Duncan does not seem to have any interest in Courtney after the moon madness or before that. He was confused on all the things he lost at one point, so that would include his bad boy hood, his girlfriends, and status. Besides, Duncney can be quite toxic, both are attracted to their bad qualities, have nothing good in common, choose money over each other, and have no trust in each other. Plus Courtney does not really accept Duncan for who he is, changing him for the better or not, she should have liked him for who he is. For Gwuncan, it was started by cheating, and both of them neglected each other for how they feel in All-Stars. Duncan did support her and thought she was ok, but he did not consider how gloomy Gwen was. Gwen on the other hand was hypocritical and treated Duncan like shit for a season. Gwent was ok in season 1, but inconsistent, and lacked commitment for Gwen and Trent was too trusting of her causing him to throw challenges out of jealousy. On the other hand, I do want them to make amends

I think he was going to apologize for hurting her. But that doesn’t mean he was going to stop pursuing Gwen- his guilt over cheating on Courtney does not necessarily affect his fondness/attraction to Gwen. He seemed pretty into her, for World Tour at least. Duncan genuinely cares about Gwen, whether in a romantic or platonic way. I don’t think he’d pursue her if he wasn’t willing to see it through. But it seems that after that scene ends he stops having any sympathy for Courtney whatsoever, since he helps Alejandro manipulate her.

Since I started watching total drama world tour before the other seasons of total drama I was really confused with Duncan and Courtney. I had no idea that they were even together in world tour. So when I finished watching total drama world tour, I started to watch the first season. Then I understood. I think that he would have said something about the gift that he gave to Courtney when Harold changed the votes to get her voted out. I knew that Duncan still had feelings for Courtney. So when in total drama all stars Gwen broke up with Duncan he wanted to come back with Courtney. But it was too late. She was already with Scoot. So this is why I think that he blew up Chris's mansion for two reasons: he wanted to prove that he was not good guy and that he would be happy since he was sad about how things turned out with him and Courtney.

I don't understand why Gwen thought it was a good idea to kiss Duncan. Sure she expressed feelings for him during the reunion episode after season 2, but for the WHOLE SEASON she had heard Courtney talk about how much she missed Duncan and all of that stuff. She even talked to her about Duncan when Duncan was back in the game. And then she went ahead and kissed him? I know it was Duncan that pulled the move, but Gwen is just as guilty. I was really disappointed in her. And then later on in another season she tells people Duncan and Courtney were separated when the kiss happened. I truly don't understand it. I think Gwen and Courtney as well as Duncan were ruined after season 3. I didn't like Courtney much in season 2 but she didn't deserve what she had to go through, I liked the plot twist and all but I felt like that just led the writers to ruin the characters since Gwen was trying her best to befriend Courtney again and Courtney just..wasn't Courtney anymore? She was never nice except for some occasions but I felt like they just made her either really stupidly narcissistic or just made her focus on how much she hated Gwen and Duncan. Duncan? Personally I hate how the producers made world tour and kinda all stars as well but it’s not my show. After tda I kinda didn’t really like Courtney (KIND OF I AM A COURTNEY STAN) bc she gave Duncan a hard time but honestly, I think she was just trying her hardest to make him a better person. There’s something about her that makes me think she had a bad experience in the past with dating. She seems so protective like someone would steal her significant other which did end up happening but instead of show real emotions she just replaced it with hatred. Like someone’s abused her feelings in the past and no longer trusts showing them to people. Or maybe she ha a toxic relationship in the past which is why duncan has to be ‘perfect’ or maybe she’s had no experience with dating before (which I doubt). ireally liked them but frankly speaking it is duncan s fault for being a two timing player and never making it clear to any of those 2 girls where were they standing in his life. he messed with gwen and trent 's relationship in the second season which made courtney furious cuz she saw his womanizer attitude , therefore she came back to get revenge on him for being disloyal and for basically being the main reason he got her out of the game in season 1. she even told him :you didn t lose any minute after i left and hooked up with gwen !!! really bro?? but duncan told her : my relationships are NONE of your business and courtney said :i know what i saw i watch the show. even trent knew duncan is a jerk but gwen refused to see the truth. she fell for him. duncan thought that having so much female attention will just make him look like a real cool bad boy and the ladies will be desperate to be with him . he felt so confident that courtney would come back to him he even said" courtney is this close to beg me to take her back, just watch" sounds more like "look if you don t move i have many options " but courtney was like : seriously ??? she hit him in the kiwi all the time for being a jerk the same way gwen punished cody for being a creep in season 1. eventually she gave up and admited to herself she still likes him and wants him back. she made the list that was supposed to help their relationship and also help duncan to stay in a commited relationship. it was a list of faults, faults that were supposed to be corrected or at least tried to be corrected so the gwen incident never happens again. so many people think courtney was the toxic one but the girl was trying to fix the mess duncan did to both her and gwen . duncan s lack of commitment is the main reason what made him go back to gwen, not that he particularly dislikes courtney. courtney said before world tour started : i ll be keeping a much closer eye on gwen! so not trusting that boyfriend stealer! courtney knew all along that duncan is not the commitment type but both of them liked each other so she tried to make their relationship work. it is even more sad to know that she knew all along that gwen and duncan were up to no good but gave gwen s friendship a chance. that was very sad..... at the beginning of world tour he left both of them while they were cat fighting instead of supporting whoever was he supporting or at least telling them to chill or something. he just saw that two timing is not that fun anymore when both are next to him fighting for him. duncan quit the game and let the girls clean his mess until they chilled so he can continue his creepy two timing in the near future. he never mentions to gwen or courtney that he is loyal to any of them and he never planned to break up with any of them . he just wanted to have his cake and eat it too 🙄. last season it was easier to fool them cuz courtney and gwen weren t in the same time frame so it was easy for him to flirt and talk and lie with one at the time while the other didn t know what s going on. now he saw he is tied to both of them in the same place so he run away. it s his fault and even cody saw how moronic he is and tried to help gwen in egypt when he saw she is heartbroken after duncan left her and courtney and run from his responsabilities like a jerk. both of them were fooled all along and they should have focused in punishing duncan for being a creep instead of fighting for him.. or like owen would say: the guy who tried to win a medal in the babe olympics. the writers really messed up the love triangle cuz it goes in the direction where they tried to make duncan look like an alejandro having jealous women fighting for him which you couldn t clearly see it since he was presented with that soft fluffy side . but if you really accept duncan as a jerk that uses his soft side to get ladies the same way aejandro sweet talks women then it made absolute sense all the seasons including all stars when gwen and courtney finally gave up that jerk. the poor trent tried to warn us all.

The reason why Duncan cheated on Courtney, is because she was being so bossy and was Taking control over him, and that make him lose interest in Courtney. If she wasn’t so bossy with him, None of this would have happened.
