I never went anywhere as a child, not even to lunch or dinners as a family. We didn't do anything. I spent all of my time indoors and now that i have the opportunity to actually travel i've been immersing myself in so many cultures and places. It's one of my favorite things to do.

I loved your intro LOL and I always get excited when you do Q & A's! I just got a job as a Flight Attendant so I'm going to be doing A LOT more traveling than I do now. I'm super excited!!!

Great Q&A! I was just like you when I was growing up - I didn't travel to many places except around my home state of Michigan or to Texas. My parents were never into traveling. As geography has always been a love of mine, once I got older, I saved up a bunch of money to start traveling everywhere and vlogging my journeys too!

Enjoy these Q&A videos. Would certainly be interested in a house tour. For those interested, the guys from Departures (Scott, Justin and Andre) have made their entire show available on KZbin now. They are at THE DEPARTURES CHANEL.

The Down town East side (East Hastings) in Vancouver isn't that dangerous. I walk through it everyday going to work. Of course don't flash your camera gear etc. Other wise it's fine. It's just shocking for tourist due to the high volume of homelessness.

I totally agree with you about gap years. I think everyone should take one. I went to college right after secondary school and it was a huge mistake! I ended up in a course I didn't like but felt obligated to finish and it was a huge waste of time and money.

People make videos about moving and unpacking, but not about staying put. hmmm, maybe Descartes has an answer. I hope that your new place serves you well, that the move is smooth, and that the next year is a great adventure! :)

Surely part of your inspiration was the reality check after leaving uni, when you realised that a 9 to 5 in IT was not going to make you happy. Ok, I'm guessing here, but I thought that something was wrong when you didn't post any videos. I'm glad you sorted out your footwear, but gee, did you learn the hard way (mountain hiking in flip flops, and dancing in Uggs. lol) I live in an English cathedral city with a Norman castle, but a population of only 150,000, and there is nowhere where you cannot safely walk at night, but I realise it cannot be compared with a large city like Vancouver or some of our larger cities.
