I saw one of these in Michigan before. It happened right at sunset. It is caused by light passing through ice crystals in the atmosphere. The phenomenon is called a red pillar or light pillar and is very rare, especially in south Texas.

It's a laser shining up through the clouds. I have produced this effect with green lasers but it only happens under the right clouds. Most of the time a laser will simply make a whole cloud glow green or red depending on laser type, but sometimes it creates a line. If it was a video and not an image I may be able to get a better idea. Just my two cents worth. Not saying that's what it is just that I have created similar effects with lasers

So its a light pillar. Which are seen 'close to the ground' - this was very high up, and seen 'when its really cold' - its July in south Texas. That light is NOT high enough up that it's below freezing. I don't know what it is or have a theory either, but this ain't it.

That's a whole face in the clouds on both shots. Also. I wanted to say that here in Texas, a friend and I saw the sun dark red. Very spooky to say the most. After a few minutes it turned white

i think it is God ramping up signs and wonders for people to arouse their belief in the existence sense of believing in God. it's easy to believe in God in the agreeing with his stances morally as he is obviously perfect, the only thing anyone who would oppose God could do is try to convince you that he doesn't exist to begin with since they cannot disprove his goodness and merits. I personally have witnessed things you wouldn't believe, but in relation to what we are discussing here, i sat outside one morning and the sun was coming up over the trees, there was a very thick weird fog/mist, the sun was red, the sun started to change colors it was red and it turned traditional yellow/purple/silver and a few other colors in a 5 minute time span. I sorta have a witness, i called my older brother to come out and witness it because i couldn't believe it, he came outside and a red mist more prevalent than the mist already in the air suddenly popped up from beside a bush near the porch, he was visibly scared and said "yeah the sun does weird stuff" and hurried off back inside before he had time to witness it going nuts. There's video evidence, not of this event im speaking of unfortunately, but other people have witnessed 2 suns in the sky simultaneously, you can easily look it up on youtube. I've seen literally everything, I've heard voices, seen visions, heard God himself's voice, had the actual devil breathe down the back of my neck, i decently understand scripture and God and study theology for fun. I hate to break it to you but it does appear that all things are pointing to the end-times. I have heard the end-times sermons to the point i couldn't stand to hear it anymore because i never believed it was really happening anywhere close to my lifetime like 10 years ago, but all the signs are there just like it said in The Holy Bible. Time will speed up, there will be signs and wonders in the sky, men will dream and have visions. The mechanics for the time speeding up thing is scientifically verifiable much like all else in The Holy Bible where science is only just now catching up to it, Earth is being sucked into black holes right now. Betelgeuse one of our closest stars, a super giant red star, it is supposed to supernova this year(it's 650 lightyears away so it already did and left the black hole at that time 650 years ago) the safe distance from the supernova is estimated 450 lightyears, however the safe distance from a black hole is 500 MILLION light years, on a cosmic perspective the black hole is not just in our backyard it's right on top of us. It's far enough away we aren't exactly being noticeably spaghettified by it, but time is dilated and more rapidly than ever. I guess the corrupt politicians and corporations weren't wrong to destroy the planet's future for the sake of making a buck after all, they probably knew all along there is no future for this planet anyway. Humans wont be here in 150 years maximum, it's not just Betelgeuse, you gotta understand, a lot of these stars and star clusters were formed around the same time and are the same age then, and are just now starting to die, there's 2 or 3 that are expected to die(visibly from our perspective) this year. They say the chances you will live to see a supernova in your lifetime is 1 in NEVER. it's coincidentally how i've always felt about the biblical apocalypse, but here i am. I'm not too upset about it, i think it's pretty cool it will take the actual end of the world to kill me or at least that's my plan and story and i'm stickin to it.
