The tenth plague was also directed towards Pharoah himself since the king of Egypt was considered to be the firstborn of Egypt's gods by the Egyptians. This was the ultimate humiliation of Pharoah and the people of Egypt because it not only showed that was Pharoah unable to protect the people who relied on him the most, but it showed Pharoah that he was utterly and completely powerless against the One True God.

And he wasn't taken. Ergo, pharaoh was not the firstborn of the gods. Instead, God took the first fruits that were owed to Him.

His heart was hardened for crying out loud. This Omnipotent Tyrant just wanted to prove a point of which he did, knowing his minions would justify it, as you are doing right now. He's guilty of every Human Crime and Devine Sin you can think of. He deserves to burn in that hell that he created.
@benjaminmishler5585
@benjaminmishler5585 Жыл бұрын
With all due respect, God is not the tyrant who created sin. Satan is. If God was the tyrant you claim him to be, he wouldn't have given us free will. Instead, we would be mindless machines who loved God not because we chose to, but out of blind obedience. God gave us free will because he wants us to choose to love Him, not force it upon us. Hell was originally created for Satan and his demons, who committed the ultimate act of treason by rebelling against the God who created the infinite universe and everything in it. The only people sentenced to Hell are the ones who want it because they refuse to repent of their sins and love to indulge in them. Plus, if God did not have any moral judgment on sin, there would be no reason to worship Him. He would be either amoral or positively creepy. So if you have a lot of people living together in a confined space who are harming anyone but themselves, what do you get but Hell? It's because God wants people to be saved and dwell with Him forever in a place with no sin, no pain, no suffering, and no sorrow that He sent His only Son Jesus to suffer the most exquisite torture ever created by humanity. In fact, the pain that came with crucifixion was so unbearable, that the word "excruciating" was invented, which means "out of the cross." I'm not trying to force guilt or any obligations upon you. What I'm trying to do is explain that if God was the tyrant that many atheists and misotheists claim that He is to be, He would never have sent Jesus to die for all humanity's sins, including you and me. Psalm 18:30 tells us that God's way is perfect, and Jeremiah 29:11 explains that the Lord's plans are always for good and never for evil. The Master's Plan is available to all people who are willing to lay down their own plans and surrender to His. Again, I'm not trying to force anything on you. I'm sorry if I have offended you, but I ask you to please understand to an extent why I choose to follow my Savior every day.

@Cherish God Cherish God, when I tell you that these things scare me. It does, because He is a Great God, and if people only knew 🙏🏾😞 Cherish God, this was back in January of 2019 & The Lord, The Most High God. He showed me a dream 🛌 💭 😴 and in this dream, I saw this huge all black horse that stood about 10 to 12 feet in height, and this horse’s chest and neck area was about the same width. The scene took place on my job, but yet I was in my bed asleep. Cherish God, this horse was the deepest of black that I have ever saw and as this horse was running up the hallway of my job, the entire building shook from the might and the strength of this animal. It ran with power and it had great authority. I remember placing my right my right hand and arm up against the side of the wall to try and gain stability in this dream and in the dream as this horse ran pass me, all that I could say was Wow 🫢 but as the horse ran pass me, my eyes was drawn to the lower portion of the horse and where the horse’s legs where at, it came close but the horse never ever touched the sides of the walls. Later that morning, I woke up. 🤔 Puzzled by the dream, I sent a text message out to two people concerning the black horse, but neither person could give me the interpretation of the thing. Then not much longer after that, President Trump came on National television, calling it a China Flu and also a Kung Fu Flu but later on President Trump came back on National television warning the American 🇺🇸 people that we were not ready to handle such a crisis as this. But then it hit our facility & we lost a 30 something year old female Dr. We had patients get sick, we had staff go out sick, I personally know of staff that lost either one or both of their parents, and as it was happening The Lord gave me the interpretation of the dream. & Jesus said ( THE HORSE THAT YOU SAW WAS COVID19 BEING RELEASED INTO THE LAND AND THE HORSE NOT TOUCHING THE WALLS MEANS THAT I WILL NOT ALLOW COVID19 TO INFECT EVERYONE ) Cherish God, Christ Jesus is awesome and I am absolutely nothing, and after He revealed this to me, I will never ever take that vaccine and if God truly wanted to allow it to be so, there is nothing that we as people can actually do about it. COVID19 is a spirit, because I saw it & I know what I saw and The Lord also allowed me to see and know by His word, that COVID19 is much like the spirit of death that was sent to king Pharaoh, king of Egypt, during the days of His servant Moses & here is wisdom. ( God instructed Moses to mark the door post of the children of Israel 🇮🇱 with the blood 🩸 of an unblemished male Lamb ) & in todays society, it shall be no different and to those that has the blood 🩸 of Jesus Christ ( The Risen Savior ) upon their lives ( COVID19 ) will have no effect on them. Cherish God, COVID19 is not finished according to The Holy Ghost and we are right now in Matthew chapter 24 as Jesus referred to COVID19 as one of those pestilences that would be released into the earth, just before He returns back to take back His church & we all think that it is bad upon the earth right now 😳 but the earth haven’t even seen bad until the body is taken away & The Holy Ghost will no longer restrain the wicked one from a complete take over. ( Lord Jesus ) Cherish God, I can see it, only by the power of The Holy Ghost, and as I said before. ( I am absolutely nothing at all ) and this world as we know it. It is getting ready for the coming of The Messiah & this is why we have these seemingly strange weather phenomenons or as mankind says ( Global Warming ) ( Lord Jesus ) but He is The King of kings and He is The Lord of lords and there is absolutely no one like Him, in all of the earth. & Please feel free to cut, copy, paste, this entire message as led by The Holy Ghost. I love you, but Christ Jesus, He loves you a whole lot more. Your Brother In Christ 🙏🏾

Anyways, I am really surprised god had patience to play this kind of stuff, I would get bored after 2-3 plague seeing the pharaoh is not scaried at all seing pretty much apocalypse events happening and not being able to get his ego down a bit maybe. Or maybe god should just teleport to pharaoh and beat him instead, probably he would let israelites go faster instead of sadistically playing with spells on egyptians backyard killing many innocent lifes lol

Actually there were eleven plagues. The last one was the destruction of the mighty Egyptian army. This fulfill two purposes, 1) eliminating the army meant the new Hebrew nation would not be harassed in future years and 2) this was a stern sign to the peoples of Canaan not to mess with the Hebrews whose God was very real. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Heb 10:31 Proceed at your own peril.

Yes, read through the book of Exodus by the Wednesday before resurrection (Easter) weekend. God called remembering and teaching our children this a “lasting ordinance.” Young or old that’s a great movie to watch before Easter as the last supper and first communion was/is the Passover feast. All commanded feasts point to Jesus the Christ, Yeshua the Messiah. Jesus is the plan God gave to all from the start. See Isaiah 53 and John 1-3.

But why did God allow 400 years of abuse before responding to their cries? I mean did it have to take that long???
@Kodiaksaint
@Kodiaksaint 2 жыл бұрын
Good question. There are two reasons. First, it gave Israel time to grow. Even under slavery, they were still flourishing and reproducing at an astounding rate, owing in no small part to the fertility and richness of the land (this was a major reason the pharaoh killed the newborns, they were growing too fast). The second reason is actually hinted at in Genesis 15:16. God’s plan was for the Israelites to inherit the Fertile Crescent, which was already occupied. However, the perversion of the cultures there hadn’t reached the point yet where God was willing to just kick them out. By the time the Israelites arrived, the Canaanite’s and Amorites were ripe for judgment, which would coincide with Israel taking over the Promised Land.

@@Kodiaksaint I don't know, it's still rather baffling to me but with all due respect. Just imagine if you've been pleading and crying for the abuses and dehumanizations that you receive to stop- to a someone who supposedly promises to love you, be with you, care for you, and protect you...only to reach the end of your life still not getting a response to your agony because unbeknownst to you, it's going to take 400 years for such relief. It felt like you've basically prayed for nothing as you stretch your eyes out for an answer that's never going to come in your lifetime of abuse anyway. So could some of them really be blamed if they lost faith? But thanks for explaining.

As an atheist who is very interested in Christianity (not because i dont think god or anything divine is not real. Id bend my knee if i ever see proof, i just havent) i wonder what is the reason of God's actions to proof his existence if he is all-knowing and all-being. Should he not be beyond proofing his existence? What does worshiping in his name give him? What good does that do? If God created us, is in control of all things including us, then why thus had he let this slavery and oppression happen in the first place? If even Egyptians are children of god why should they disobey him? What hopes does he even have for his children? When a parent raises a child, they want to see that child grow. They want to see that child do what they couldnt. But in gods case? What good can he gain by watching us? He knows it all. He makes it all so why then does he keeps it all? Why then does he let people live and die? This is not to mock God. This is not to question his will. I simply dont get it and Im so curious about this whole thing. Someone please explain it to me id love to know more.

@@thinhsuynhuoc My understanding of the facts: the ten plagues of Egypt can be computer modeled as a result of the Santorini eruption pushing the timeline earlier, nullifying previous debunking from archeologists: most mysterious is the fire mingled with hail and the killing of the 1st born by way of toxic, low lying gases from the ensuing tremors. First born Egyptian men slept on the ground floor in low lying cots. You've no doubt heard of the shroud of Turin, but you must not be aware the image has no organic signature (there is a scientist who came very close to replicating the image, obvious to me was the lack of resolution/ definition in the nose area-his method would probably leave a forensic marker-apparently there isn't one) The plagues are described pretty similarly to the Hebrew narrative, in a papyrus called Ipuwer: which corroborates the population-wide transfer of wealth, (something most are not aware of) In the abstract ask yourself, why would the Hebrews defraud their entire race by making fraudulent claims involving ROYALTY, which would be summarily debunked.Israel's enemies have wanted to annihilate them yet never shored up support to that end by turning the region, and by now the world against them.

I want God in my side at all times; even if it is a longer road to get to my goal the short cuts always have many Consequences, some in the now and many in the future, and my personal belief is that nothing is wroth my (or your) soul. Egyptian gods that were worshiped during that time. Here are some examples: 1. The Nile turning to blood challenged the Egyptian god Hapi, who was associated with the Nile. 2. The plague of frogs challenged the goddess Heget, who was depicted as a frog-headed deity. 3. The plague of gnats or lice challenged the god Geb, who was believed to be the personification of the earth. 4. The plague of flies challenged the god Khepri, who was associated with creation and rebirth. 5. The plague on livestock challenged the goddess Hathor, who was a cow-headed deity and represented fertility and abundance. 6. The plague of boils challenged the goddess Sekhmet, who was associated with healing and disease. 7. The plague of hail challenged the god Nut, who was believed to be the goddess of the sky. 8. The plague of locusts challenged the god Osiris, who was associated with vegetation and fertility. 9. The plague of darkness challenged the sun god Ra, who was considered the supreme deity. 10. The final plague, the death of the firstborn, challenged Pharaoh himself, who was considered a god in Egyptian culture. These plagues were designed to undermine the authority and power attributed to these Egyptian gods, revealing the sovereignty and superiority of the God of Israel.

@angeleyez0102
@angeleyez0102 2 жыл бұрын
In scripture, seven often symbolizes completion or perfection. Seven is appears over 700 times from the Days of Creation to the sevens in Revelation. As stated in the video there were 10 gods in Egypt that God had to cast down with Ten plagues. It only makes sense that He would end the final judgments with 7 seals, 7 trumpets, and 8 bowels totalling 21. It will be completed and perfected with a New Jerusalem.🙏🏽 21 is said to represent wickedness of rebellion and sin. Paul mentions 21 sins in 2 Tim. 3.

Except the ipuwer papyrus, which describes events that sound eerily similar to the plagues. Besides, Egyptian scholars sometimes do not record events that were not in their favour, but can be found in other historical texts. Also, if you don't like what's on your screen, why would you open it, unless you want to try and sound smarter than others? If you have an issue with religion, keep it to yourself. Let others be. Isn't this the same reason atheists claim to hate religious people, that they're too pushy?

I just dont understand the 10th. Why didn't he get the destroyer to kill all the corrupt adults to give the innocent children a chance to come to him? Where did those childrens souls go? Like today, the messengers travel every place on the earth to spread the word and bring everyone to him. From the first time i heard of that 30 plus years ago I could never make sense of it. Maybe someone could shed some light on this for me. I asked the same question a long time ago and I was hushed aside.❤

When it comes to God deciding to remove the firstborn male of the Egyptian families, I think it is a reflection on how God felt when the first king of Egypt in Exodus commanded his people to throw newborn Hebrew baby boys in to the Nile (Exodus 1:22). Pharaoh killed innocent babies because he saw them as a future threat to his kingdom. For the second part of your question about where their souls would end up, I unfortunately do not have an answer. I think that is a question that you should take to The Higher One. (I am also going to think about that one too is an interesting question).

Well, as far as I can tell, the worst punnishment in all the bible and non bible stories for a person is the suffering of those he loves the most. To me it's not fair at all, but back in those days, it was probably concidered that way. Besides, children and women back then were also treated more like a furniture rather than people, which I also despise, but it shows why the 10th plague was the death of each newborn male, at least that's how I see it. If someone knows the true answer, please tell me Oh, and all the newborn that died go to limb, the first circle of hell. As far as I know, the only suffering they go through there is boredom and slight bitter feeling of not being able to see The true heaven. For me it's not that bad, especially concidering what other circles of hell consists of, but that's not ideal either, so yeah, the 10th plague is messed up

Ahmose I (founder of the 18th dynasty) had lost all jewelry to those who left Egypt according to his own hieroglyphics in the STILL biased towards him and Egypt “Papyrus of Ipuwer” (an easy read I have done this with children, it was translated in the 1920s) and artwork (Google what’s labeled as Hyksos Egypt) where the 18th dynasty claims it was others that drowned and not just his side and chariots as he claimed he shoved people out of his nation, not that they walked out. 😂 even any amount of admitting defeat from an Egyptian pharaoh is clearly a miracle in and of itself. Remember, Pharaoh chose a hardened heart after so much mercy was given towards him, it wasn’t until 11 chances that God solidified the hardness of heart so no amount of reason could penetrate it. This had to happen in order for those who humbled and cried out to God to be set free. God is merciful, but also just. Even modern commentary likes to lie about how it would be impossible for the Israelites to have walked out at this time because they focus on Hyksos walking out. However, if you read Exodus and other scriptures on it you’ll see it wasn’t only the Israelites that walked out during that time, as it talks about the foreigners repeatedly and how they too were under God’s favor as they obeyed. Ahmose I was the father of Akhenaten. Akhenaten husband of Nefertiti and father of Tutankhamun was definitely influenced by the Israelites and having to deal with the fallout of all the Egyptian gods having been attacked. Akhenaten for a very short time had all of Egypt rejecting that there was more than one god, sadly, he said they should then worship only him. Hatshepsut continued to rule by asserting her lineage as the daughter and only child of Thutmose I and his primary wife, Ahmose. There’s definitely stuff to look into with her too. The whole concept of regent pharaohs is forgotten when people try to look at how scripture would fit into Egyptian culture. It’s actually upsetting how you can’t even find a secular or Christian video with any value because they forget some of the most important of basic concepts. I could go on and on with this stuff, but really people need to go to primary sources and learn the stuff for themselves. Don’t read commentaries, not even Bible commentaries, without first going to what actual Scripture says and historical documents of the time. People love to try to claim their opinion as fact, but the truth is each individual needs to really look at the known information and prayerfully figure out how it actually worked out for themselves. The “experts” and movies on the stuff is the most irrational and out of touch with the primary sources. They want to tell you what to think and believe, instead of encouraging you to read the primary source for yourself and have your belief shaped by truth and not opinion. Yes, Bible commentaries and movies often use Rammesses ii, but scripture never says, that’s just a theory and if it doesn’t seem to lineup with history, that doesn’t mean the Bible is wrong, it means some commentary on the Bible is wrong. No one treats books about Christianity as Christianity. We are called to follow God not man’s teachings.

I can understand how a person could think that. The real issue has to do with our understanding of good and evil. The reality is that God is the only source of perfect goodness. The only proper response of goodness is to remove evil. Since God is the Creator of all, all who reject His right to be their King/Lord/Boss are in fact living in rebellion to Him, thus guilty of being perpetually evil. Since we are all guilty of this rebellion against God, thank goodness that He has provided the escape from the judgment we deserve if we will turn away from self-rule to God's rule in Christ Jesus. The plagues/difficulties we experience in this life are really God's mercy to us to help us see that we need Him and give us a chance to turn to Him before its too late.

The original hebrew verse speaks about יַם-סוּף (Yam-Suph) which literally means reed bed, a sea of reed. A swamp.
