Target has a jarred birra sauce. I get 2 jars and a 4 pound chuck roast. Toss it all in the crock pot for 8 hours. So good. I thought about making it from scratch but all the recipes I find have so many ingredients. And I can’t find the one kind of dried pepper. Even at the Mexican store. Have a great week 😊

😊 Thank you for showing us everything y'all ate, including the meals y'all ate out. Sorry, the Mexican food was bad the first night. I can no longer eat Mexican or Chinese food out. Both times, I ended up in the ER with bad Crohn's flare-ups. So if I want them, I gotta make them at home. 😢

Those refried beans look like glue at Pancho's! Don't you hate wasting money on bad food!? You are such a good cook, that it must be disappointing to have to spend the money on meals out that you could buy a few days of groceries and make at home. But,...Hibachi scallops! YUM! That meal looked so good, it was worth it, even if Lilli was scared. It's an experience! I used to order my kiddos fancy drinks in tiki bar giant sized cups with little umbrellas, maraschino cherries, and they were usually coconut and pineapple blends. They got to save the cups and it was so fun for them!

Usually Pasta Water is reserved to thicken a dish 🤔

Depending on how much you add it could just thicken it. A very minimal amount and the starch will help to thicken a little, but if you add more it will thin the sauce but make it creamy

I mean you’re getting Mexican food in Tennessee so I’d expect it to not be great. Further away you get the worse it tastes. As an Arizonan and Texan, who doesn’t eat Tex mex, I probably wouldn’t like Mexican food in Georgia 😂.

Good to know there’s some good authentic food in your area because it gives me hope for good food on more travels through the south 😂. Though I supposed authentic is subjective because I don’t like most of the Mexican food I’ve had here in Texas because it’s more Tex mex than what I’m used to. It's meat that is slow cooked in broth with spices and peppers. The broth is used to coat the corn tortilla and then it's stuffed with the meat, cheese, cilantro, and onion. Then it's cooked on either side to get crispy. Then you use the broth for dipping your taco in
