11 weeks and having twins, completely spontaneously and unexpected. I do not have twins in my family and we already have 3 babies and 1 above. I am an ultrasound tech, and someone who isn’t registered as a tech shouldn’t be scanning you nor giving you results they are not 100% sure about. I have used machines that are over 20 years old before and they work just as fine as the machines made today. Either way, a tech that is experienced should have given you a picture with the twins both showing. I hope you get someone to scan you better than the first person! Keagan Victoria Totally agree! I had a horrible experience this week at my first prenatal appt. The doctor spent 1-2 minutes and gave up looking and even suggested I might have an ectopic pregnancy. Then he started questioning me when I last had a positive pregnancy test. I left feeling so frustrated and confused! He sent me to radiology dept with an ultrasound tech who took much more time with me and knew what the heck she was doing. The radiologist confirmed with my OBGYN that I was measuring at 4 mm on my right side. Oh so frustrating!!!!

Yes please, I went to a ultrasound today and I felt like the lady did a poor job. She told me there is no heartbeat. I'm unsure of my last period it can be 6 weeks or a bit less I'm not sure.

I went to the emergency a couple of hrs later and they said the womb is closed and I should come back in a week for a scan. They couldn't say anything about the scan I had earlier in the day. Now I'm losing my mind, is this normal?

When I was pregnant with my daughter I started getting morning sickness/ all day sickness around 5 weeks as well. I didn’t start feeling better until about 14 1/2 weeks. I literally carried a trash bag with me everywhere I went including work. I’m so glad your feeling better!

I had hyperemesis my entire last pregnancy with my Jan 2020 babe! Up until the MORNING I had him, I threw up every. Single. Day. Multiple times a day. I threw up 300+ times from May 10th until January 17th when I had him. It was hell. The second he was born, GONE. I havent felt nauseous since. Its insane.

I wasn’t nauseous with my daughter, but with the twins it was crazy 💕 than one night, woke up with severe cramps at around 10 and a half weeks and almost passed out, went to the emergency and boom, there was too little heart beat 💕💙

Girl, I am so sorry that you got completely screwed out of your first ultrasound! That is always the time that you are somewhat able to take a big sigh of relief that everything is going well. Just try to be somewhat reassured by the fact that if you are having such awful nausea, chances are that your hcg levels are decently high and baby is growing. I am very excited for you and can’t wait to follow you and your family on this very exciting journey. Hang in there mama, this is all for a very precious, amazing, beautiful reason and before you know it, the nausea and exhaustion will be gone and your beautiful bump will poppin’ and your skin will be glowin’.

I can’t say I had noise sensitivity when pregnant but I get noise sensitivity when I’m highly frustrated or irritable.. which can come with mood swings in pregnancy. Maybe that’s it?

You are a better woman than I. As someone who's had 3 ectopic pregnancies and 2 miscarriages, I would be livid if I had that ultrasound experience and wouldn't go back. It sounds so unprofessional. That would leave me so scared and anxiety ridden. You're handling this amazingly and I pray that your next appointment goes perfect and everything and everyone is healthy. ❤

All you pregnant mamas are on my mind a lot these days! I am praying we get through this crazy pandemic and our babies come out healthy and strong. I’m 24 weeks today, and my appointments have been postponed till further notice, because they have limited hours and one-person only appointments (I’m a stay at home mom for a 4 year old and don’t have a choice but to bring him, till my husbands off work). My heart goes out to those mamas who are about to give birth in the middle of the heightened scary situation, and also to newly pregnant moms just trying to hold on to the two line results as their only hope and knowledge that they have a baby growing in their bellies! Sending all the hugs and prayers to everyone! And Lex, you got this and you’re an awesome mom and you’re doing everything right!

Hopefully your next experience is better with this practice but I would seriously consider switching. Any practice that is willing to have inexperienced & unprofessional staff clearly doesn’t focus on quality of care! You deserve the best for your little babe! Take care ❤️

I’m 15 1/2 weeks with Baby #3 and have had Hyperemesis Gravidarum with every pregnancy. (This is my 3rd baby, 7th pregnancy.) I’ve been sick since 5 weeks and I’m now on Diclegis, Phenergan and Zofran to help me through the crippling nausea and vomiting. (I actually barfed so had 2 days ago that I burst blood vessels in both of my eyes. Super fun.) Glad to hear Diclegis is working for you!

9:01 “NOOOOO MY BATTERIES GONNA DIE 😩” is my whole life mood!! Lmao I loved that part 😂 I hope it’s whatever you were supposed to be blessed with whether it’s one or two! But I do think when the doctor moves the probe once it gets to the corner of your uterus it will mirror what it sees and it will look like two babies. That happened at our appt our last pregnancy and our midwife said I think I see two but let me make sure sometimes the probe will mirror what it sees once I get all the way to one side of the uterus. My husband and I were like 😳😳 SAY WHAT ?? Haha but I do think that pregnancy was in fact twins 🥰 I won’t ever really know for sure a week later they became my angel baby/babies. I’m so glad to see the diclegis worked for you it really does make you feel better eventually you can always just take less and less I eventually only took one pill every morning and that was good for me the rest of my pregnancy.

Something that helped me when I was really sick with my daughter was bing watching shows. It kept my mind off the fact that I was sick and made it easier to deal. I was more focused on Jane the Virgin than the fact that I was super nauseous 😂

I think it’s twins! I was sooo sick with my twins. Nothing with my first boy and only mildly sick with my current pregnancy. Congrats to you and your family. One or two, a baby is such a blessing! ❤️

I did not have noise sensitivity but I just felt miserable when I was pregnant. Super sick with horrible nausea and vomiting. Plus exhaustion! 6 weeks is still super early to get a heart beat but I understand why you’re worried. As mommy’s we just want our babies to be healthy ❤️

I can relate to noise sensitivity.... it's crazy how some things just all of the sudden seem SO LOUD.... it almost creates immediate anxiety in me (and I'm a really relaxed/non-anxious woman and I feel like something bad is going to happen....or gives me a negative feeling in some way. I don't know if it's something I've always experienced or if this is new but yeah.... so strange! Congratulations on your pregnancy! You have the most adorable and gorgeous children already. My husband and I had our first baby in January (Paisley Grace) and she reminds me of Willa when she was a few months old..... I just adore your sweet family and love your videos! I'm 5 weeks with my rainbow baby today! I love at 5w1d January 28th so I was so happy to see a dark line on my test strip this morning! I go to my OB to see exactly how far along I am April 30th and I'm already ready for this month to come to an end because I can't get the thought of multiples out of my head! I'm already showing too! Congratulations and so glad they gave you diclegis! To help with the sleepiness take 2 if they are 10mg at night before bed only!!! You'll wake up so happy in the morning and feel good the rest of the day too!! I've taken diclegis for both of my other pregnancies and it's the only thing that almost fully got rid of my nausea and vomiting!!! Praying things ease up soon hun!!!

I had hyperemesis with my last kid. I was sick from before my positive test until the moment I delivered her. Zofran and phenergan didn’t do much for me. I lost so much weight during my pregnancy. To this day, everytime I get a bit nauseous I have horrible flashbacks to my pregnancy and I get so anxious. I think my gallbladder made matters so much worse, but after having it removed at 24 weeks pregnant, I still felt like crap. Anyways, wishing you a healthy and happy rest of your pregnancy! I'm not sure if you will see this because you have so many comments at this point, but I had HG with both pregnancies and a big part of the tiredness can come from iron deficiency. It happens in pregnancy anyway, and the barfing and whatnot can make it worse. There is vegan liquid iron supplement called floradix and it does wonders for your energy during pregnancy. My first pregnancy was identical twin boys- I had no symptoms at all- my first trimester was very smooth. Same with my second pregnancy, with one boy. No symptoms very smooth pregnancy. I am currently pregnant with my first girl. I’m 19 weeks now. My first trimester with her was miserable- I was puking, always nauseous, so tired I didn’t want to get off the couch. Completely different than with all my boys (including the twins). If it’s twins I’m pretty sure she would’ve seen them. I remember you saying “what if it’s twins” in one of your earlier pregnancy updates or vlogs... maybe you’re just hopeful of twins or thinking it’s twins because of your different extreme symptoms. Whatever the outcome I hope baby(ies) are healthy!!! And you start to feel better soon 😘😘

I was so sick my first pregnancy. I was in and out of the hospital getting fluids because I couldn't keep anything down. It was my entire pregnancy. Then at 30 weeks my appendix was about to rupture and had to have emergency surgery. Thankfully I was able to make it to 37 weeks after my labor being stopped 6 times. Thankfully she was a healthy beautiful girl. I thought for sure my second pregnancy I was having a boy because I wasn't sick at all. However, I delivered another healthy beautiful girl. Sending lots of love, hugs and prayers to you and your family. Hopefully your nausea will get better as your pregnancy progresses. I got that horrible all day puking with all 3 of my boys. With my oldest until 30weeks, 2nd until like 19weeks, and my 3rd until 21 weeks. That is the NUMBER ONE reason I don’t want to have anymore kids!!

So I am on my third pregnancy as well (14 weeks) and this one has been sooo weird compared to my last two and I just felt like I went through a lot of what you are going through, being unsure, scared, having my first ultrasound be a complete mess and leaving not knowing anything. When I went to my second ultrasound everything was MUCH smoother. Still a little weird (I am not a huge fan of my ultrasound tech) but we heard a heartbeat and everything has been great since then. Now sure why I am sharing this, maybe just to give you some comfort? I am sorry it has been so crazy and things have been scary, I feel you and am praying you find comfort while you wait for your next appointment ❤️

Ya but she’s also had two prior pregnancies, and like she said in the video, all of her symptoms with this pregnancy are so much more heightened than with her other two. I also think twins would make sense.

Both my pregnancies I had EXTREME “morning sickness” from about 4 weeks pregnant until about 35 weeks. They had to prescribe me medication, but even with that it only made life tolerable.

I lived off of diclegis during my last pregnancy! I had hyperemesis gravidarium so it saved my life. I honestly felt like I was dying. I am so happy you got that to help you!

I had nausea/vomiting this pregnancy up until around 22 weeks! Absolutely HORRIBLE! We have 3 girls and I had at most 2 weeks off and on of nausea with them. With this one #4, I actually threw up every morning until 22 weeks with bouts of nausea throughout the day and night! I’ll be 28 weeks tomorrow and it’s gone thankfully and we are having our first boy. So crazy how different pregnancies can be!

I immediately picked up my phone and went to your video as soon as I woke up! You’ve said from the beginning it could be twins because of how different this pregnancy is. I think it is a good sign you’ve still been feeling symptoms though so stay positive for your next appointment. Twins or not I pray it is a healthy nugget (or nuggets)! ♥️

You're experienced enough in pregnancy to know what the process is and sometimes you have people that arent that experienced or knowledgeable and all you can do is wait until your next appointment to get more information. Like you I usually take the first appointment with a grain a salt and prepare myself for a lack of information. Why? Because it could be too early to get a lot of details and because the lack of experience from the technicians. I'm sure you will get more info once your baby beans are bigger at your next ultrasound.

In my country, my doc told me to not come until 8-9 weeks, because it vould be pointless and just a waste of time for the both of us. So they don't even take women before that. Got to hear the heartbeat for the first time at 13 weeks too. I was really suprised when I heard that it seems to be a thing over in the US to go even at 5 weeks

I know exactly what you mean about the nausea! Mine started at 5 weeks and it was constant, all day overwhelming nausea. I couldn't move without feeling like throwing up, I was in tears everyday as I couldn't function, could barely get up and look after our 5yo and 3 1/2yo, couldn't work on my study, pretty much couldn't do anything 😭 It was absolutely horrendous and I was starting to feel so depressed because of how bad it was affecting my life 😔 I'm now 13+1 and it's slowly starting to ease up. I still get bad bouts of it, but it's not all day like it had been since 5 weeks. I've also got Zofran which I took for the first time the other night and I was able to eat dinner for the first time in 4 night's. I hope the nausea doesn't last too long for you xx

Me 🙋🏼‍♀️ I became noise sensitive after becoming pregnant with our first baby... and it didn’t flippin go away- he is almost 5 months and my hubby rolls his eyes at my constant requests to “stop yelling” when he talks hahaha 🥴. Thinking of you and your family! You WILL have a wonderful next doctor visit and get to see and hear that precious baby! (Err those precious babies!** 😅) Side note- I actually had a not so great experience with the OB I started out our pregnancy with. She was a nice lady but constantly confusing me and my pregnancy with other patients of hers 😳 aaannnd I had SEVERE bleeding weeks 7-10, I’m talking period red and TONS of it. I had nuummerrroouusss emergency ultrasounds due to it, and I always had the gut feeling nothing was wrong, but still needed the piece of mind. Every time, everything was a-ok. She always said she wasn’t sure why and she’s sorry that that isn’t comforting but that baby was ok. Fast forward- I switch to a different OB at a more holistic clinic- he’s like an OB GOD in our area. AT MY FIRST APPT he recaps my pregnancy so far and explains that I had MULTIPLES. That it is super common, that that’s what the bleeding was...... needless to say I wish I had been with him from the get-go. I was sick majority of my pregnancy. Ended up being diagnosed with HG. Diclegis helped a good bit. I also took prenatals at night because my OB said sometimes the increased iron can make it worse. I’m so glad you got some relief, and I’m sending continuous prayers y’all’s way!

I had insane nausea with my second kid and I had the noise sensitivity too. I hope that the rest of your pregnancy gets better. My nausea didn't slow down until about 15 weeks and then it came back at the end of my pregnancy. I'm hoping you don't have the same result. Despite everything that's going on I am so excited for you! ❤️

It sounds like the first ultrasound was basically done to just to make sure that it was in your uterus and not ectopic. I would definitely give the office another chance. Hopefully your next appointment goes better!

Sending so many positive vibes! With my first pregnancy I went in for an ultrasound at 12 weeks and 2 days and unfortunately the baby had stopped growing at 7 weeks 3 days. I had got an ultrasound at 6 weeks and the baby had a heartbeat. I’m pregnant again and everything seems to be going well my home Doppler picked up a heartbeat of 152 2 days ago! 💕🌈👶🏼

I’ll be 9 weeks on Sunday with baby number 4. Normally I’ve had an ultrasound by now and seen the heartbeat but my town is only doing emergency ultrasounds right now. I just want to see my baby’s heartbeat!!

I had a third baby after an early miscarriage and I had AWFUL morning sickness (all day long and all night) with my third and I stayed sick the entire time besides weeks 18-19. It stayed and made it so hard but I sucked it up because I was terrified of hurting the baby with hearing horror stories of the medications due to people being so over the top. I am so glad you get to feel better with being sick (It truly is terrible and I get what you meant by the watery mouth!! I had that almost all day). I also continued to get nauseous during my first 6 months of breastfeeding which was always so strange to me and he nursed SO SO SO MUCH (even the doctor and nurses while in the hospital said he did. I now have been nursing him way too long 😑😆 He never weaned himself (my two oldest did) and I couldn’t find it in myself to wean him. We was born 8/9/17 and he’s 32 months I believe? I hope you are able to rest and relax until your next appointment ❤️

I feel for you! Four pregnancies and was sick the whole 9 months with all four. Miserable! Nausea is the most debilitating feeling. As for the noise sensitivity I have it everyday. My kids know they are not allowed to scream or yell loud in the house. Loud noises send me over the edge. I feel ya! Hang in there! It's all worth it.

As an ultrasound technician I just want to say you’re exactly right. This is exactly why people who aren’t registered ultrasound technicians shouldn’t be doing ultrasounds. From listening to everything you’re saying it sounds like she has no idea what she’s doing at all. That machine is a great machine and a vaginal ultrasound is the clearest way to see a baby at this stage and should be seen very easily. The fact that she “doesn’t know” if there’s 2 fetal poles or not is very concerning(on her part, not implying you should be concerned)and makes no sense. Also the fact that she measured the yolk sac as part of the fetal pole blows my mind.I’m sorry you had to deal with this! I guarantee if you get an actual ultrasound technician at your next appt. you’ll have a much better experience. But congrats and stay safe during all this craziness!❤️

One of my friends at work is around the same gestation period as you and she had the same pains and nausea and tiredness problems and she ended up in the emergency room and found out it was twins . I really think you might be in the same boat🤔 you will be in my prayers .

Yes!!! Noise sensitivity! Oh my gosh...so glad to know I'm not alone! When I was pregnant, my eardrums would literally hurt and it would drive me nuts. I will randomly get it from time to time now.

My first ultrasound was at 9 weeks. The doctor found one baby, then said "Ok, I'm just going to take a look around and make sure you don't have any cysts on your ovaries or anything." So he was looking and then says "Uh oh..." and just STOPS!! My husband and I are just sitting there like "Um, what 'uh oh?'" and then the doctor says "There's two." To say the least, I was in SHOCK!!! My jaw dropped, I couldn't say anything, and finally my husband said "Are you serious?" We now have 19 month old twins named Brayden and Ryleigh and they are my absolute world!!! Twins are definitely a struggle, but they're also a blessing and I wouldn't change it for the world!! Sending you good vibes for a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby (or babies!!) ♥♥

Im 8 weeks 5 days after 3 miscarriages (never got this far before). Im very happy about it, symptoms are very strong and on progesterone pessaries. I had a scan measuring 5 weeks 5 days, and saw a fluttering heartbeat 3 weeks ago today. But Coronavirus has delayed my scans (was meant to have one last week due to my history). Sometimes there are elective ultrasound places you can go to give you peace of mind over the next few weeks, it's a few hundred but well worth it.
