Fantastic video, climb and journey Robbie, best on the channel by miles. Well done to all involved. I think my favourite moment was actually when you toproped it clean for the first time 😅 Have a good winter, catch you soon 🤙

Thanks Pete. That was my favourite as well… it was the happiest moment of the process, realising it was possible for me, but I still had the lead to look forward to. The end success was amazing, but it was also the end of the journey and made me a little sad

I’m so glad I waited to watch this until I could focus 100% of my attention on it because I knew it was going to be good. Congratulations on not only the climb, but on this film, it’s beautiful. As creators, I think the best thing we can do is make work that blurs the line between a “smash the like button video” and something that really matters. This adds to that goal. 🤘

Robbie, really appreciate you working with Dave in this video. Also I really enjoyed you both dropping the videos at the same time. I'm still climbing 5.11's but you're an encouragement to me. As a pastor and counselor, it made me really sad to hear the news of your dad passing. Thank you though, for not hiding in the shadows, but sharing your story. I appreciate you, your work and dedication to the sport, and to your father.

Hi Robbie, I eagerly anticipate all your film releases as they are such great entertaining content about the sport we all love. What we do in the Shadows has taken your films to the next level, not only is it great watching a climbing story unfold from when you first drop into work a new project to when you send it but also, in this case, the raw personal emotion you chose to share with us based on what sounds like a very difficult year. For you to share that with your audience was a brave step and we salute you for it. Ultimately thats what makes this film stand out as way more than 'just another piece of youtube content'. Its a real personal journey that you have decided to let us share with you, and by the looks of the comments many of us relate to it in our own ways. The direction, editing and production values are all top notch, but best of all you told a deeply moving and personal story. Nice one, and hats off to you, your team and your mates.

Robbie this was incredibly brave of you to put so much on film, you could have just made it about the ascent but being truthful about what happened in your life throughout the process and opening up and talking about it to the camera... Beautifully introspective, somewhat of a change from the tone of the other videos, and life is all about variety innit! I lost my dad to cancer in December last year too, so I can well relate. No E10 to help me through though, but climbing was there, and a few climbing tubers such as yourself. So thanks and keep at it. Tribe next? Recovery drink?

That was surprisingly profound and deep; and had great footage and editing. I have been enjoying your videos since I saw one with you climbing in JTree a year or two ago, but this one, and your vulnerability in releasing it publicly, is unique and unprecedented I think in my experience of climbing videos on KZbin, at least. Will now subscribe to your Patreon for a long time, even if you make no more content, as a thank you, as a supporter.

Real Scottish Autumn, or Scottumn… Superb video Robbie, well wishes for the loss but amazing effort. Love to see the varied use of shoes, especially the Mago which is such an underapprciated beast of a shoe, though the Boostic looks more reasonable.
