This was the house of Jared Torrance, a real estate developer who the town of Torrance is named after. Looks like even a hundred years ago, South Pasadena was a desirable location to live. The estate of The Huntingtons is nearby, and it was turned into a museum and public garden upon Mr. Huntington's death. This is also close by Halloween 1978 and 2007 filming locations, as well as so many other TV shows and movies.
