Same. As a '90s kid, Regis was a huge part of my childhood and he seemed like such a genuinely kind, down-to-earth man, he's one of the few celebrities I would've loved to have met. Rest well, Regis, and thank you for all you gave.

Philbin passed after watching Dale Earnhardt Jr almost dig his own ear off .. JR , who has always been known as an ear digger was so nervous after taping a Regis and Philborn episode that he started to dig in his ear . It became so bad that Dale Jr's ear was about to fall off ..Philbin yelled "STOP IT, YOUR EAR WASN'T MADE FOR DIGGING"

Absolutely, Regis can be forgiven. Like you said, Trump didn't start showing his true vile colors until he was already on the campaign trail, and his bid for the 2016 presidency and the media frenzy around it seemed like another wacky episode of "The Apprentice". Nobody thought that bigoted blowhard would get the nomination never mind win, and that was our mistake.
