I would humbly share an experience I got to witness on the auspicious eve of Radhashtami... in Iskcon Kolkata it was chalk a block with matajis... jostling and pushing for one glance of Radha rani ... yes it was that full... me and mom after trying for 30mins reached somewhere close where at least we can see Her face... it was so crowded that even an elderly mataji fainted who was taken care of by others. In such a condition a short aged woman for whom it was way harder to get into the whole hustle bustle didn't give up... her height made it difficult for her to breathe but she didn't stop trying to get near the boundary where prabhuji were offering puja to the Lord and Radha rani. She struggled her way to the culvert n the next thing I saw was so marvelous... she couldn't afford fruits or sweets so she brought for Radha rani n the Lord ONE PACKET OF INCENSE STICKS. She lit it with a lot of difficulty as it was harder to stand near the boundary of deity. A little boy of 12yrs standing beside her helped her catch attention of prabhu ji who was insanely yet happily busy in collecting all offering and returning the prasadam to the people who gathered. Prabhuji took her fragranced sticks and offered them to Radha rani. She was so happy and so was Prabhuji... he never undermined her offering as it was of negligible cost... he paid equal respect to her bhakti... and during flower distribution she got a lotus straight from Radha Rani's feet that too she distributed few petals among devotees who wanted the lotus. She was wearing a fade torn saree with uncared hair and a big grateful smile ...she wore her bhakti on her face and body and she looked the richest of all there... I smiled at her and greeted with Hare Krishna ... she had her prasadam with equal enthusiasm and bhakti ... I said Hare Krishna one final time before I left the temple for the day and Thanked Radha rani for teaching me that a devotee is the one who is always happy without qualms ...
