What We Know about the Ashlands Biome in 2024 | Valheim

I do hope they give us access to boat upgrades in this. This new serpent seems a bit too much for a longboat.

Well, at least you can see where you’re going in the ashlands? lol. Looks sweet, I’m almost ready to take on the Queen myself, but man is navigating Mistlands a royal pain.

Bro ashlands are soo hard. But so much fun. I love this game. Every biome is fresh and new and not just a harder older biome

I agree. The Ashlands is definitely a step up in difficulty but it feels completely different to the other biomes. It keeps it exciting!

I'm pissed that I made a sweet FOB on the edge of a Mistlands area that goes into the Ashlands now that I know that part won't spawn anything worthwhile.

It is a shame that they have made that change but hopefully it is worth it with regards to gameplay. We will have to wait and see!

There’s a mod called update world you can use to regenerate parts of the world you’ve already discovered! You can download it, use it, then delete it. Should regen that part so it updates to the new content.

@@jagotiberan2181 Thanks, but I went and watched the base crumble into the sea the other day, but it only half collapsed. The game decided that it would keep a 1m square of earth under the base when it cleared the whole area. So now my FOB half collapsed and it became a pretty good staging dock with portal still intact to my main base.

My 2 main issie@ with the ashlandsis the valkaries attack range being bullshit lengths. You cant dodge away from it you just have to perfect dodge it. And the morgens just does not look like he fits. Its wet and slimy rot looking not long since dead dried out by extreme local heat like everything else

I think that you make decent points. The biome is definitely not perfect but I just try to enjoy it as it is. It will still be susceptible to changes for a few months, I think. Thanks for your comment!

Thanks for sharing! I hadn't seen this but I kind of expected as much. There is a new location for mining flametal now, shown in Walk & Talk - Episode 3.

Good question. Your saves should be fine but new content will only be generated in areas of your map which you have not yet explored. Additionally, the terrain around the Ashlands has been significantly modified in areas so if you have builds in the Ashlands, or on the border of the Ashlands, they may be destroyed.
