@@peterjuul5997 I don't know, it could be many things. Maybe he didn't like that he was painted as a leftist. Maybe he wants to elongate the media cycle and he feels a trial is good for that. Maybe he's just kind of winging it and he had no plan after getting away from New York.

It's not unusual. A lot of criminals focus on the crime and then don't plan out well the bits after.

Is the government trying to tell me and the entire American public what to think about this? He better get a jury trial so the public can respond.

I think the guest is completely wrong here. We don't have to try to reconstruct the killer's suposed ideology or political views, and there is no significant divergence among Americans as to why he did it. It was clear as day right away, as soon as the killing was reported. Nobody asked, "oh no, why did this happen?" It's self-explanatory. This is one thing that unites everyone in the US regardless of political leanings. This guest clearly ahs never dealt with the US health care system.

The way insurance companies treat people lives can also be perceived as violence. I think we need to review the definition of violence.

if law does not protect the citizrn's well being by health officials whose duty is 1- health 2- profit then what will make the health officilas act like how they r supposed to act? capitalism is the culprit.

NYPD commissioner Jessica Tisch is a scion of the billionaire Tisch family. The NYPD likely wouldn't have searched as hard as they did if she wasn't the commissioner.
@peterjuul599723 күн бұрын
I didn't know that Tisch was the scion of a wealthy family, but whoever would be the NYPD commissioner, would be under a lot of pressure to find the perpetrator. Nobody wants to be in a similar position like Kimberly Cheatle and Ronald Rowe.

I wouldn't call this political violence, CEO wasn't killed over a political disagreement but rather the way he ran his company

Will this change anything with the healthcare system in the U.S.? I have my doubts. But it was amazing to see how much effort the police put into uncovering this case, if they would only do more for all other homicides ... not a good world we live in, when this seems the only way to solve a problem, or, make the people aware of the disgusting reality so many have to live under.

calling him a coward or confused seems to me an effort to either distract from his motivations (Shapiro) or dismiss his actions (Kieran) as the equivalent of a random unfortunate event. I think we should take people like that seriously and try and understand them. Understanding someone doesn't mean you support their ideas. It just means you have an innate respect for humans in general.
@XhectorX141723 күн бұрын
To be clear, i dont support violence. Having said that, "civil discourse" has not lead to solutions. Corporations are obsorbing more and more capital and power. Politicians are captured by corporate greed. The ones that are suppose to speak for the people are owned by corporations. I can understand his fustration.
