From the way I understood it, the Entrati didn't just research the Void on behalf of the Orokin empire, they were also probably the ones who discovered it in the first place (Steve insisted on using the term "created the void" when talking about them, hinting that it was one of their invensions that revealed the void for the first time.)

@@davidcavaleri4099 I'd say it's probably more like "the Orokin wanted to go FTL in order to reach others stars for resources, the Entrati tried to create some pocket dimension where the rules of nature are slightly different in order to send their ships through there and ended up creating something that is a LOT more than they hoped for, and the Orokin were like 'how do we exploits this as well?' because that's what they do."

I think the big mirror we saw was the first time anyone saw the void, but the creation of the void portals was how they actually got there, probably somehow connected to the cosmic clock so nobody completely loses track of reality when going in and out and becomes corrupted. I'd say that the entrati made the void portals and that they most likely have a secret connection with the man in the wall, due to him haunting everyone involved in finding the void while they dream. My guess is that the man in the wall gave the orokin/tenno their powers and immortality in exchange for complete control over the empire.

It also occurred to me that we may now know what kuva is exactly, in the Hydroid Prime trailer (finally), Ballas says "Our immortal vines have kept us distant from out baser selves, but consider our subjects". To me it suggests that the fear of death is no longer a concern for the Orokin, cause Kuva, and that is directly because of the vines. The Arboriform trees that are everywhere remotely Orokin built are most likely the vines he's talking about. Kuva Siphon missions also specifically require the operators, and in Lua, all of the pods were linked by massive Arboriform formations, so Kuva may simply be a type of sap excreted by the Arboriform trees. The trees are the basis of transferring void energy between places, so it makes sense in my opinion.

It makes more sense to me for the Kuva to be blood rather than sap. In The War Within Teshin says "Some believe the Kuva within is the blood of the Orokin Ancestors. An elixir of power... of immortality." And the Kuva is blood-red after all. Also, It seems weird that trees with the key to immortality are littered everywhere in the orokin ships... they probably had crew on those ships during the Old War, i think the Orokin would probably distance the key to immortality from the common peasants.

It should be mentioned, that when Albrecht Entrati first fell into the void and came back, when closing the portal to the void, his doppelgängers (the man in the wall) fingers, reaching through the portal were cut off and used as the basis for all void based technology. So the finger in our Railjack could be a finger of that mysterious godlike being.

The void has the potential to be one of the coolest things in gaming history, and because we don't know what it is (and never should) it already is. It's like a stange metal crashing down on earth that gives out infinite electricity. It solves all our problems but completely destroys what we know to be facts, electricity can only travel, and is never made or destroyed. I feel like Warframe has some of the best factions/worldbuilding in gaming history, with only the grineer being remotely generic (and even then having a really cool, foreign aesthetic)

It draws upon the same concepts of chaos dream and causality. though the warp is powered by emotion and not seperate from it thus the concepts enherent to sentient beings manifest within it where the void simply seems to be an uncaring mirror of possibility. also they might have made the warp super dangorous just because they could because 40k xP

They call the Void incarnate the man in the wall, or The Wall's Other Face, to me it seems like not only the void a reflection, it works like a physical mirror, where within, it writhes in potential, but it is merely a barrier, so I would think the Planes of Duviri are likely places beyond the Void, civilizations that unlike the Orokin, have found the truth of the void and how to use it.

Likely due to the many conflicts and battles that happened in that reality. After all, the orokin wanted to destroy anything that could threaten their rule, and clearly this is what was happening in the duviri timeline. A tenno without their void powers would fall easy when faced against ascendent orokin constructs and others things we simply cannot know, and a stasis suit is likely not good protection against blades and guns. I do wonder how the orokin would have fared without the tenno in the sentient invasion however, as we were instrumental in blunting the sentient charge and eventually forcing them into a corner, which directly led to their "plan" and the terminus massacre. If the 10-0 never came back, I wonder if the orokin found another way of defeating the sentients, or if they got anihilated and the only thing that is left is their roaming sentries aimlessly performing their asigned task of getting rid of the 10-0's surivors. Wally's goals in this timeline also seem to show that he has no use for the tenno there, as is shown by their missing powers. This, to me, kinda support the outcome of the origin system being whiped out, as the tenno are needed by wally to act as agents of his plans, but if the system is dead, then wally would not need anything from them, hence removing their powers. It also shows that wally is able to play with all realities and has both shared and individual goals in each of them.

it's worth noting that void exposure seems to cause people to see it the way Tenno do (which is to say, in Albrecht's lore when he enters the Void unprotected he describes it as we see it in-game, as well as beginning to see the Man in the Wall)

Albrecht Entrati questions who truly has escaped the Void when he returns from it: he or his doppelgänger. I suspect the Duviri Paradox may reveal that the operators "true" self has been stranded in the void for all these years and that the Tenno that we play are in fact copies of themselves - not completely under the control of the Void/man in the wall, but created to serve it/him. Whether they actually do so may be related to the alignment system or whatever we do in the Duviri Paradox. DE_Steve already confirmed that the expansions name comes from the Twin Paradox, which is a thought experiment of a travelling twin being younger than their stationary counterpart due to time dilation. Maybe our "true" selves, being "stuck" in the Void, age faster than the copy outside of it (though both seem to age fairly slowly, considering the centuries since the Zariman accident).

@MinecraftPro15 its more like quite the opposite of the Warp in my headcannon. While the Warp being composed of extreme emotions that makes up entities that are daemons, the void is composed itself of emptiness and no emotions (as it was hinted in the quests). And seeing the finger, it "might" be that the void is a single entity compared to the Warp daemons and the chaos gods might be a single god kind of way (void god idk).Only thing similar is that they can defy space and time. So I guess the Void and the Warp will be natural enemies if both existed at the same time. Both are polar opposites to each other. Hell i can see that the Tennos can be equivalent to Psykers in a way.
