Nice! I’ve had a 171 since 22 just completing our 3rd season on lake Lanier Ga. I keep a gallon of gas in reserve in the boat just in case. Great boat but will upgrade next season. Need more room. Great video!

So glad to see Teddy doing well! Our lab, Sandy, is healthy again and doesn't even remember that we went through nearly 30 weeks of rehab! For us, it was worth every penny and every minute! We'll be watching!

Congrats! luv yer boat! Hello looking into at the 171, in the starcraft website hydraulic steering is a $2000 add on. Do you guys added it on? I heard from others, not a super requirement for 115 hp and below, nice to have but you would really need it for outboards higher...not gonna use it so much for ski/wave. just leisure boatin and yer ocassional fishin. Is it ok to handle 171 without it? tysm for your time and response :)

How fun! And remember to make sure the drain plug is plugged in before launching! My husband didn’t screw it back on from our previous outing and we started to sink in the middle of the lake 🤣😂. It took on water slowly so we were able to limp back to the dock. We just have a Lund Pro-V but boats are sure fun!

It's good to know that you had time to get back to the dock before sinking! Hopefully, we won't forget the plug. Thanks for your tip! 🤗

I would think that screwing it in on the lake would be a great idea if you forgot. I keep 3 extra plugs in the storage compartment above the battery.
